First and foremost, we want to thank everyone for their continued prayers and concern. As many know by now, our long-time friend and receptionist, Brittany, was involved in a serious vehicle accident on Sunday.
She is still battling with her injuries and prayers are still needed and much appreciated. We've stayed in close contact with her family as they continue to keep us updated on her condition.
Every morning we come in, we don't get to see her or hear her cracking jokes with us as we have done for many years. It's just a constant reminder that life is precious and everything can change in the blink of an eye. Thank you again for the outpouring of support as we all continue to navigate this tough road ahead along with her and her family.

We will be open regular hours today from 8am until 12pm. We’re still working on replacing refrigerated items. Our replacement vaccines haven't been delivered yet, but we’re hopeful that they’ll be arriving soon. We are still operating without phone lines or internet, but a Starlink unit is on the way and we hope to have internet one way or another next week!

Yesterday afternoon, we got a devastating phone call that one of our Westside family/staff was in a very serious vehicle accident. We're a small crew here at Westside and everyone here is like family. We desperately ask for prayers for her and her family as she continues to battle with her injuries. Time is kind of standing still for all of us right now as we continue to get updates.

We are currently open and will close a little early again today at 3pm. Hope everyone is doing well this morning. Today is officially 1 week since Helene came though 😳

We will be closing a little early today at 2:30pm for staff to go home and continue cleanup and debris removal. Some still do not have power and need to check in on their pets and family. We will reopen at 8am tomorrow morning and go from there. As usual, we will continue to keep you updated on this page. We still have no phones available and Xfinity is working on getting damaged lines restored. We hope everyone has gotten power back or will have power back on soon! Thank you for bearing with us as we navigate through this week.

We are open today but Xfinity outage map shows we have no internet or phones available. Again, we have no vaccines or refrigerated items at this time. Feel free to use email to contact us and we will try our best as 4G and 5G internet is still spotty at times. We will continue to update as we go!

Update: We will be opening tomorrow, October 3rd, at 8am. We will do what we can with what we have available! We currently do not have any vaccines, insulin or any other medications that require refrigeration. All refrigerated inventory was lost and hopefully will be restocked as soon as possible. We currently have power but phones may still be out. Will update in the morning on phone systems after our I.T. guy (me) works on it 😁 If you have an appointment scheduled for vaccines, please save your gas and we will reschedule you as we get shipments in! Will update again in the morning. Stay safe everyone and please share this post so others may see it due to Facebook algorithms!

Hope this post finds everyone ok and safe today. Just to update everyone, we will be closed at minimum from Monday to Wednesday and will reassess at that point. No power and no water just like everyone else in the surrounding area. I HAVE PERSONALLY SPOKEN WITH CVETS IN COLUMBIA,SC AND THEY ARE OPEN AND SEEING EMERGENCIES. (You may want to call them first before heading up there). On a side note, being from Augusta and living here all of my life, I've never seen anything close to the destruction and damage this hurricane has caused. I do hope everyone and their pets are safe and hopefully power and gas station situations will improve over the next few days. We are all still just as baffled at this situation as I'm sure you are as well. Will update here when available as internet service is spotty at times.

Due to extensive power outages, downed trees and road closures, we will remain closed this afternoon. We hope that everyone and their pets are staying safe out there! Multiple staff are reporting downed trees in their yard. Please feel free to comment on how you or your area is doing!

Due to severe weather and flooding in many areas, we have closed early for today. We will tentatively plan on opening tomorrow at 12pm. Again, this is tentative and subject to change as the weather is expected to become worse overnight. There has already been 1 tornado in Columbia county this morning with multiple areas of flooding around the CSRA. We will provide an update tomorrow morning and hope everyone stays safe out there!
