On June 13 & 14, 2024 Dr. Shaffer will be out of the office. With this being said we will have technicians available to help with vaccine boosters, a**l glands, nail trims, etc. We will also be available to pick up medications that you need. If you stopped by Augusta Animal Hospital recently, you may have seen or heard some odd sights and sounds coming from our yard. Meet Cocoa, our premature British Park/Highland cross heifer. She was born on Easter Sunday weighing 35 pounds. A normal newborn calf weighs between 65-90 pounds. She was unable to stand and nurse, so the staff at AAH have been bottle feeding her. Cocoa is doing great. Follow our page for adorable updates on Cocoa, the miracle calf.

A little late posting but sweet little Kember brought by many goodies for the staff and the pets for Valentine’s Day! She sure is a blessing to all the animals and is such a kind little girl! ❤️❤️

We are happy to announce that we are now offering librela, a once monthly injection for arthritis pain in dogs. Santa Paws needs your help! We have our rescue tree up and ready! Stop by and grab a tag to donate something to one of our local rescues. The tags are marked with needs and wants from 3 of our local rescues. You can take a tag of your choice and bring the item back to place under the tree 🙂 we will be dispersing the items to the rescues on December 21st! Thank you everyone for all of your help! You have the choice of an item or donating towards their accounts to help them help furry friends in need!
