Today we process the big herd for pregnancy checks, fall vaccinations and treatment for parasites to keep our girls healthy and prepare them for calving in the spring! Of course under the veterinary advisement of Dr. Meg Mueller !

It was a busy weekend around the farm! Weaned the remaining spring born calves, gave booster vaccinations and wormer and began selection of the replacement heifers. Of course long days in the field harvesting beans and making stalk bales as well! Thankful for family that helps get the job done!

Congratulations to the Bartlett Family for showing the Champion Angus female yesterday at the Northern WI State Fair!

Also a big congrats to Heath Sandberg for showing the Reserve Champion AOB heifer! Sired by our Aires bull and sold in last falls sale!

We have been super busy welcoming over 40 new calves in the last two weeks! Plus maple syrup production is in full force with the warm temperatures!

We have hit our extra busy time of the year! Calving season and harvesting and cooking maple syrup! The first taps are in!! We are so thankful for many family members who assist with keeping the family tradition going!

We were fortunate to spend the weekend with a road trip to Montrose, CO to tour the great Lazy JB herd and bull offering! It was an amazing experience to learn about raising cattle in high altitude conditions. We also made a stop in Iowa to Nichols bull stud! The weather wasnt great but certainly a trip to remember!
