Last day of the work week!

To all my customers that are still receiving appointment reminders please disregard them.

As of right now due to the shortage of basic necessities, hazardous road conditions and damage through the area due to the hurricane please be patient.

At the moment, the most important thing is to take care of ourselves as we begin to rebuild everything.

Thank you all and god bless

Some before and after work. Alot of times I find that trying to maintain basics for hoofcare is a wonderful aspect but also not always the case in some situations to help maintain soundness.

The first picture shows the solar view of a hoof before it was trimmed (roughly 6 weeks) and in this case the discoloration of the pigmentation of the sole is likely due to being cut way too short by the previous farrier.

(This isn't to bash the previous Farrier as we have all made mistakes)

In this case simply applying a soaked leather pad with some packing to ease the comfort of this foot while bearing weight and moving greatly assisted this horses overall comfort. I'm excited to see how they look in the next few weeks.

8 years between these two pictures. Countless Miles, Countless horses, Many great and amazing people I've met along the way from clients, trainers, farriers and overall equestrians in general. Here's to my 30s and planning out the next decade as I get back to doing what I love.

Forge of July was an awesome experience. Having the opportunity to see old friends was exciting. Meeting so many other farriers in one sitting and just having the opportunity to listen to them was beyond worthwhile and I'm looking forward to next year's.

After a long time of planning and prepping my new rig is installed and I'll be working on getting it functional within the next few weeks.

I'm beyond excited to work out of this and beyond ecstatic for my clients as this is going to make things a great time saver for everyone.

I've taken time to reconsolidate things this week and will still be taking calls. Big things coming next week and it's a reflection the past few months of hard work and dedication to keeping your Equine friends moving about.

Enjoy the week everyone and stay safe.

Some before and afters on the fronts and hinds of a mare that just delivered a Philly last month.

Some things to note while a mare is carrying a foal. There will be weight gain (obviously) but it is common for their feet to come more flared out and lose more concavity within their Hooves due to the weight load. Still have your farrier out for regular trimming (being mindful that manners and hormones can be a risk factor for the pregnant mare).

I'm happy to see these feet make progress for before and afters but will post an updated post with them a few cycles later
