Dr. Dale Waller is a graduate of Kansas State College of Veterinary Medicine. Fresh out of school, he moved his young family to Baileyville, KS, where he opened his own mixed animal practice. In 1994, Dr. Waller flushed his first cow and went on to receive his certification in 2002. In 2011, Dr, Waller sold his veterinary practice and decided to focus on his Embryo Transfer business and farming. I
n 2016, he then had the opportunity to sell his farm and home in Kansas and relocate to southwest Missouri. This was a move Dr. Waller and his wife, Debbie, had considered for many years as they have many family connections in Missouri. As their children started to settle in the area, the decision became much easier. The Wallers purchased a farm near Aurora, Missouri, in December of 2016 and restarted the Embryo Transfer business. Dr. Waller knew this was beautiful cattle country, but didn't learn until after the move that Lawrence County boasts one of the largest populations of cows in the country. It didn't take long to see the possibilities for the new business. Soon after, Dale and Debbie's son, Nathan, joined the farm and ET business full time. This allowed for the opportunity to expand the company. The Wallers contacted Trans Ova Genetics to discuss the possibility of collaborating to perform in-vitro services after seeing the need for it in this region. Waller Embryo Transfer is now happily contracted with Trans Ova to serve as a satellite center. In mid-September of 2017, Waller Embryo Transfer sent Nathan to Sioux Center, Iowa, for extensive embryology training. The first oocyte collection was performed at the Waller Embryo Transfer facility in early October of 2017. Dr. Waller and Nathan are excited about this new venture and the opportunity to work with southwest Missouri's cattlemen and women.
