Our atmosphere is conducive for this form of canine creativity! I am Jenn Jones, the owner of Camp Paw Paws, but prefer to be known as the Camp Director of Pawsitivity! This means that I am a firm believer in positive reinforcement and conditioning, and a balance of love, play, training, wellness and rest. A little about me- I am a survivor of domestic violence, and without my late canine companion, Atlas, who saved my life, I may not be here today to help you and your companion. My life changed directions after my trauma to one that is filled with what I am passionate about, helping others and their pets. I know how important safety is and will love and care for your pets when they are in my care as if my own. My family at home consists of my canine companion, who is also a service dog, named Orion and my Significant Other Darwin, a true puppy dog in his own right…he LOVES dogs; so, he is my right hand man at Camp Paw Paws. Orion also loves dogs and people and was born September, 2013, so still a bit of a puppy, but a BIG puppy! He is a Newdle, which is a Newfoundland and a Standard Poodle, weighing in at about 75lbs. My career is this Camp, combined with some community outreach activities I do to support dog safety for children and also my efforts to get SafeHouses to accept non-violent pets with the women with their children who have had the courage to leave their abusers- so many women don’t leave because of what will happen to their pets…
Back Office Stuff- Our rates are based on age, size and number of dogs in the family. All shots must be current and for almost all circumstances, dogs must be spayed or neutered. I require a 20-30 minute interview prior to stay, so please contact me as soon as possible. Our family looks forward to meeting yours!
