At the end of a dogs board and train program I like to take them on a field trip to apply all their training in a real world setting. Oliver has a history of barking and reacting to people and dogs, after 3 weeks of training and exposure, he CRUSHED his field trip and didn’t show any reactivity!

He’s not perfect and still has his occasional meltdowns but overall this is a HUGE improvement from how he started. For a 7 year old Basenji, I’ll call this a win.

Let your dog hunt!!! When you see them using their nose, give them time to work it out and find toys on their own.
