SSH stepped out of their comfort zone today and came out to the Dripping Springs Ranch Park & Event Center for their DSRP Dressage Holiday Classic Show!

Annie has been hard at work prepping Only A Certain for her dressage debut! I can’t be more proud of this teams progression this year!

Annie and Mabel have both made such progress in this new event, and even more progress as a pair. They recieved great marks from the judge on their presence as a pair, and some wonderful feedback for how to improve.

They came back 1st in their Intro Test A and 3rd in their Intro Test B! Way to go!

Huge thanks to DSRP for always putting on a great time! Thank you to Penny Reeves for all of your support and encouragement on this new venture! And of course Lily Sellers and Melissa for keeping all of us in line!

Congratulations to our team on a fantastic weekend at the GCPHC Tribute to Charlie Sasser “Margarita Classic”!

We were so happy to get back into the show pen with some many new teams. Cannot be prouder of the SSH crew on a phenomenal weekend of personals bests, placings, and good times!

SSH is proudly located at Polo Club Equine in Austin, Tx. We specialize in the APHA and AQHA All-Around, Hunters and Ranch Horses.

What we have available:

Our facility includes matted stalls with fans, lights and fly system as well as 2 beautiful outdoor arenas and a newly renovated covered arena with brand new footing! The property also includes ample turn out, 2 round pens, private SSH tack room, 3 grooming bays, 2 wash racks with hot and cold water, washer and dryer, multiple people living onsite, security cameras, wifi throughout, lounge spaces, bathroom and changing area, dedicated viewing spaces at all arenas, as well as many more amenities to make you and your horse feel at home!

✨SOLD✨

Ultimate Heat aka ”Hudson” is a 2013 APHA (RR) Gelding standing approx 15.2. This boy is for sale due to no fault of his own, just unfortunately isn’t the right fit for his new owner.

Hudson would excel with a single rider with a soft hand that has goals to show at the 4-H or Open Show level. He has made great progress since being in our program after having quite a bit of time off. He does not need to stay in a training program, but would reccomend guidance from a trainer if a more novice rider.

He is going along great on the rail and for showmanship. Has been started in an English saddle and is doing well, has also been started over poles. He has been ridden in small periods around the property but has not been “trail ridden”. I personally think this boy could excel in the Western Dressage Pen with proper training!

Hudson was nominated to the Breeders Trust (expired) and the Kentucky Paint Horse Incentive Fund.

2023 is full of opportunities! Welcome to the new home of “Superior Show Horses!”

We are proud to be joining the great team at Polo Club Equine in Austin, Texas to help promote the APHA and AQHA All-Around and Western Riding to the Dripping Springs and Austin area!

For those of you new to the program, The SSH Team focuses on the Western and English All-Around, Ranch Classes, and Hunters/Equitation. SSH has strong values in teaching from the ground up to create independent and knowledgeable riders both in the saddle and out.

SSH will continue to offer our Full Training program but are now offering Lessons, Haul-Ins, Boarding, Half Training, and many more things in development!

We will provide additional updates on new programs as they become available. SSH will be accepting new clients starting March 1st!

We are all set up at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo! Come by the Burnett Barn to pay us a visit!

We also have “He’s Hot to Trot” out here ready to strut his stuff! He is looking for a new zip code, so if you’re in the market come by and try him out. He is a 2012 APHA gelding sired by Radicalized. He is 15.2 but can trot with the big guys. Suitable from small fry to novice am! 2008, 17.5” Antares, 3 AA L Flap. Medium tree.

This saddle has seen its use, but is structurally sound. Was purchased as a schooling saddle, but I’m not jumping anymore so I’m not using it as much as I should! Is best suited for schooling, lessons, colts, ect..but I have shown with it in its current condition.

All damage is cosmetic, if I was keeping I would get the knee rolls re-stuffed but is not needed to ride.

Does not come with leathers or irons, but willing to sell CWD 54” Leathers and Black Compositi irons with it.

Only A Certain is a 2016 AQHA mare by A Certain League(Certain Potential), roughly 15.2. Is suitable for any pen you would like to try! All-Around, Ranch, English, Western Dressage, Over Fences! Mabel has recently been started over fences and loves it, she is schooling cross rails currently but has free jumped up to 2’9 with ease.

Mabel recently came back from the CATHA Show with a 1 is Halter, 1 in Showmanship, 2 in Horsemanship and 3 in Western Pleasure! Mabel also attended her first Hunter Show this last month and came back GRAND CHAMPION in both Hunters AND Equitation! Talk about cleaning house!

Facility amenities include, oversized 14x14 stalls cleaned daily with lights and fly system, hot/cold wash rack, round pen, 100x200 outdoor arena, 100x200 covered arena, hot walker, full jump course, facility director on site, ect..

This 16” Silver Mesa Reiner is up for grabs! I believe based on the serial number it’s a 96 model, but this baby rides like she was built yesterday.

Does have some staining but is covered when riding, has minor dent in one piece of silver but took me a few minutes to even notice it. Has been kept in AC and covered by its current owner.

How blessed are we to have this pair on our team! As many know, both Carrie and Clyde are on their own journey to recovery and this was a huge milestone for Carrie Freudenstein Ruiz! We can’t say enough great things about the mind on this young gelding by The Offshore Account! It takes a good one to be able to pack around a rider like this. We hope the rest of their recovery is as great as today proved, we see the light at the end of the tunnel and are so happy to see this pair getting back into the show pen in 2022!

John-Paul is planning to make his debut in the 10 & Under Walk-Trot Western Pleasure this weekend! Hard to imagine this is only his second time riding on his own in the big arena! 2022 Show Season is in full swing and we would love for you to join our team! We will have a stall opening April 1st, if you want to join our team but do not have a horse of your own we do have a lease option available to a W/T Rider! Our Facility includes oversized stalls with lights, private tack room, 2 wash racks, round pen, hot walker, turn out, and 2 arenas (one has jump course set up year round!). All horses are fed top quality feeds and are on a coastal/alfalfa diet. Director lives on property and trainer lives right down the road!
