WE GOT IT, Y'ALL.
The SouthWest Project goals have been met, it's a full on SUCCESS. The whole NM / AZ / TX region was set to go the other way in July. We're getting moister in all of my locations. I'll try to get a video out with more info soon -- going to water again now. Not done yet!

Drought 'B Gone, y'all.
This is not a joke, friends: We did it! Look: Drought (not to mention "severe drought) has been nearly eradicated from Dripping Springs and all parts north, especially since last week's rains. (Tues & Frid.)
It took 7 or 8 weeks of sponging, then watering.
Yes, historic. More soon, more to share!!!!

Chris Searles will be teaching how to make and fully install tree-sponges. Tree sponges are rich, soil gardens for your trees' health. We add right materials to the landscape, in the right places, and we water it-in, we create bio/eco-lushness and resilience to extreme weather that is self-perpetuating.

At just 30 years young, Louis has an extensive background in all of the above. Learn more about his eco-justice work here: https://lutheransrestoringcreation.org/tillman_louis Some additional background: Last year Pastor Tillman led distribution of +500,000 PPE kits and +60,000 vaccinations to underserved Black Americans across the mid-Atlantic region of the U.S. He currently pastors the oldest African American Lutheran Church in America and serves the U.S. Air Force as a military chaplain. In college he led initiatives with recently incarcerated people to install more than 30 community gardens. He eats beef once a year and is looking fwd to some Texas Barbecue this Saturday!
