Harper’s review!
Harper adopted Bosley from a shelter and he is was extremely reactive to people and other dogs.
I remember the first couple of lessons that we had at a Home Depot to work on socializing him to men. I brought my dog Juliet with me and Bosley was barking and lunging at her from across the parking lot. After a few sessions we were able to start taking him into stores, parks, and by the end of our 15 week program he was walking calmly beside Juliet at Zilker A place where lots of dogs run freely off leash in Austin.
We still have goals of getting him even more comfortable in public and are going to be doing a board and train to take his training to the next level but this is Harper‘s review so far.
She has been extremely patient, calm, and consistent with him throughout the entire process and I am really proud of her commitment to his growth and how their bond has strengthened.

Here's an update on Baron that I've been meaning to post! Things have been moving so quickly I already need to record another one! He's doing very well and having huge breakthroughs every day!
Meet Baron!
He is a 5.5 year old german shepherd. He is here with me for a custom training package of a board and train with private lessons following. He has had multiple traumatic events throughout his life which has made him reactive to people and dogs. Watch this video for more info about his history and what we will be focusing on while he's here!
Stay tuned for more updated on how he's doing!
Here is Ming's video review of her and Kobe's training experience with me!
In this short and sweet video she talks about how when we first started training, Kobe had extreme fear of people, especially men.
He would bark, lunge, air snap, and even nipped a few people
He was reactive of both dogs and people
Kobe is a true softie at heart but his fear due to past trauma made him reactive
He is a Great Dane, Pyrenees, Border Collie mix and a reactive dog his size is an especially scary and stressful situation!
In Ming's training experience with me she got a customized training plan for his specific needs. We worked on a mixture of obedience, behavior modification, and socialization.
Ming's stress and worry melted away as she saw his fear being healed and confidence restored!
“Now he will gladly walk up to anybody, lick their face all over, give them lots of snuggles and roll on the ground! She’s done a wonderful job helping me be more confident as an owner”- Ming, Kobe’s mom

I made this fun video of Mishka showing off some of the things she has learned so far!
In this video she is demonstrating:
-Recall (come when called) in a high distracting environment of Zilker park.
-Sit stay
-Walking calmly past another dog without pulling, barking, or lunging
-Sitting calmly for a greeting without jumping!

"Binji is just doing great. He's really blossomed as we've been doing these lessons with Kimberly." "It's been a really positive experience to work with Kimberly and I would definitely recommend it to anyone"
Hear first hand how Sylvia's training experience with me was! Sylvia adopted Binji from a shelter and he had a lot of fear and distrust of people, especially men. He would bark at people and sometimes hesitantly take treats if not deny them. If Sylvia had guests over he would greet them at the door barking and follow and bark any time they stood up. He was also reactive to some of the other dogs he would meet.
Through our training process we have worked on obedience, and positive behavior modification to help him be more comfortable and confident around people and animals in public settings. We worked on giving him positive socializations and experiences in different places like his home, Petsmart, home depot, and even Zilker park which is highly populated! He's now able to go to all of these places with Sylvia and not react at anything and also take treats from strangers without hesitation! Binji really grew so much through this process and it was very rewarding to see him relax and open up. On our last lesson I gifted him a cute collared dog shirt and he happily trotted away by her side in confidence.
Coco and her dad working on "place" which is a boundary stay!
Place is wonderful for many things such as overcoming separation anxiety, preventing begging at the diner table, preventing overexcitment and jumping on guests in the house, preventing your dog from being in your way if your trying to cook in the kitchen, stretch, or work out.
It's also great if you're camping or at a park and want them to stay near you but not have to be on leash. It can be translated to an elivated place bed, dog bed, crate, spot on the couch, blanket, mat, rug, etc.
Working on the place stay with Kobe and a little bit of out of sight stays.
The place stay is an obedience command where you teach dogs to go to a certain spot such as an elevated place bed, dog bed, crate, blanket, towel, rug, etc.
You teach them to go to whatever spot you want and stay in the spot. They don't have to necessarily sit or lay down as long as I say in the area and could even have an interactive toy or bone to stay busy.
If they do offer a sit or a down it's definitely great to reward these deeper states of relaxation.
This command is extremely useful for things such as preventing them from jumping on guests that come over, preventing them from begging at the dinner table or while you're cooking, keeping them with you if you're camping or at the park, working on separation anxiety, working with multiple dogs at 1 time, having some space while you are stretching or working out, and so many more other uses!
