๐๐๐๐ was turned in as a stray on 12/29/24. Notes indicate that he greets staff with a wiggly body, a high wagging tail and a loose open mouth and tongue! Once leashed, he maintains a loose leash to and from the runs. He knows sit and he will sit patiently, waiting to go outside, when he is asked to. He has been described as gentle, and notes say that he will give you his paw if you ask for it! He is already neutered and he is heartworm negative so he is ready to leave the shelter with his forever family today!
๐๐๐๐ is on the euthanasia list for "Medical (Senior) and behavior (stressed, standing and jumping on kennel door, very vocal in kennel even after spending time outside)." His life should not end in the shelter for that reason. ๐๐๐๐๐๐ open up your heart and home to ๐๐๐๐!

12/30/2024 BEHAVIOR NOTE: 12/30/24 12:47 Wiggly body, loose wagging tail and tappy front paws. walked out to runs and pottied after unleashing in run. Wiggly body, tappy toes going back inside and into kennel.
01/03/2025 BEHAVIOR NOTE: constant vocalizing in kennel during am feeding and cleaning and jumping on kennel door. as i approached he greeted me with a wiggly body, high wagging tail and loose open mouth and tongue. once leashed he maintained a loose leash heading in and out of south building. once in outdoor kennel he became vocal again.
01/04/2025 BEHAVIOR NOTE: jumping non stop on the kennel door when I approached, he was not easy to leash, walking with a tight leash, lunging, head down, tale wagging, he was highly vocal in the run, barked to the dog next to him, he got more relax body on his way back, walked with a loose leash.
01/05/2025 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Neji was jumping on the kennel door when I approach, but today he was more calm, easy to leash, walking beside me with the loose leash, head down and tale up, a bit playful but friendly, walked back to the south the same wagging tale, loose leash. he was vocal in the run and in the kennel.
01/06/2025 BEHAVIOR NOTE: standing on kennel door when I approach, he kept walking on a loose leash on both way, wiggly body but easy to handle, he still vocal in the run but no that much inside.
01/07/2025 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Sits on command and swings his big ole paw into your hand when you ask for it. He is big but was gentle with me and although, he wanted to go outside, he would still sit patiently every time I asked him to
01/07/2025 BEHAVIOR NOTE: 01/07/25 12:25 Jumping up on kennel door as I approached but easily redirected with treats. Once leashed walked with semi-loose leash ahead of me, scanning surroundings and tail out and wagging. Quiet once in kennel but when another dog began forward barking at another dog walking past walkway then Neji began barking as well, pacing at kennel door. Calm when people were passing through. Left partially covered.
