What. A. Year! 🐾
One year ago, Eddie and I hit the road from Austin to launch our KWD LA app with almost nothing—just a dream, grit, and the sheer hope we could make something meaningful over here in our lil slice of the pet industry. No big funding, no backup plan—just a vision we believed in. And let me tell you, it’s been HARD. There were late nights fixing tech issues, juggling schedules, learning how to manage growth on the fly, and plenty of “Am I doing this right?” moments...
But here’s the thing: any time doubt crept in, there was a reason to keep going. Whether it was a dog’s transformation after weeks of training, a teammate stepping up to save the day while we’re literally 1,000 miles away, or—most inspiring of all—our doggy clients and their humans rooting for us along the way. So many of the pet parents in our community are entrepreneurs, too - navigating challenges, leading by example, and building something out of nothing. Watching people we love succeed, adapt, and persevere in their element is a MOOD. 🔥
Shoutout to every dog parent on our roster who’s given us advice, encouragement, support, or even just an uplifting word when we needed it most. I speak for the entire team when I tell you we’re SO happy to be in this together with y’all. and I couldn’t be more grateful to share this path with you.
Here’s to the hard days that made us stronger, the lessons learned from all of you amazing leaders, and the canine community we’re building together from the Pacific coast to the Galveston gulf 😉 Let’s make 2025 unforgettable—because we’re just getting started!!!! 🐕💪
