Kobe got a herm sprenger so we are going over basic obedience with it acclimating him to leash pressure and refreshing his training.

Kobes collar broke off him earlier during our walk, which was 2 miles, so I had to go out again with him to find it in the dark and found it 1 mile into the trail we walked. Thankfully he doesn't pull on walks and I dont hook him up to that collar I have a training collar we use. Always have a contingency plan for you dog collar this one lasted a year due to mechanical parts wearing out. Check your equipment from time to time, you might need to get new gear

Marking and shaping the heel command. Kobe has never really learned the heel command. This is part one to teaching him the heel command. I am starting usually with Kobe in a sit or within close proximity of me and giving the command before I take a step. And am marking the behavior I want with the clicker or with my voice and then giving the command again before changing directions immediately. And marking the wnlanted behavior. If he lags behind a little bit I apply very light leash pressure as if tapping him on the shoulder and saying hey bud come this way.

Here is a little clip of Pies 1st training session he is a very anxious and fear reactive chihuahua, in this training session I am working to build a bond establish trust him. I am doing this by rewarding him intermittently and marking the rewards with a clicker later on I will associate the click with rewards for performed behaviors stay tuned to see more training sessions with pie.
