"This is the best product I have ever used on baby calves. I really don't know where to start. We have raised calves for over 40 years and in recent years have started experiencing a lot of health problems with them especially in the winter months. Scours have been a constant in the cold weather, no matter what we try, the calves would get weak and die. I happened across this product online one day and decided to give it a try. I will never be without Surveillance ever again. The calves love it. I appreciate that its a liquid and is easily mixed in their milk. It keeps them pepped up, their coats look great and it has helped the scours 100%. I've had a lot of calves never get the scours at all and the ones that do are over them in a few days. I just add a little extra Surveillance to their milk and usually that does the trick. For the calves that scours last a little longer I will give an electrolyte too along with the Surveillance and it works great. Shipping is great and customer service is even better. This family farm sure appreciates MicroBasics."

Wellness Wednesday: Protein supplementation during times of the year when sheep are consuming lower quality feed enables sheep to be more resilient to parasite infections and contributes to building immunity during infections. Monitor dietary protein levels throughout the year to insure they are meeting NRC recommendations.

Wellness Wednesday: “When the weather cools off, watch milk temperatures. Evaluate temperature of the milk fed to the first and last calf. A lot of times that first cold snap comes and we haven’t adjusted our pasteurizers out- put temp up or we haven’t adjusted our water heater. There are a lot of factors that can cool down the milk when the temperature drops, milk might be going into cold buckets. We need to continually monitor milk temperature because the calf really does want milk at 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Temping milk is quick and easy and doesn’t really cost anything.” - Jennifer Wiley, Calf and Heifer Specialist
