A moisture-rich, fresh diet 🥩🥕 is generally more supportive for dogs with kidney issues than kibble due to its high water content, which aids in hydration and kidney function. Kidneys rely on adequate moisture to filter out waste from the blood, and a fresh diet with high moisture helps by ensuring there’s enough water to produce urine and flush out toxins—helping to prevent waste buildup that could worsen kidney damage.
In contrast, kibble is dry (only about 10% moisture), meaning dogs need to drink more water to meet their hydration needs. Unfortunately, many dogs with kidney issues may not drink enough on their own, potentially leading to dehydration and putting more strain on their already compromised kidneys.
Was your dog diagnosed with kidney disease, and you'd like to start cooking fresh food? I’m a Canine Nutritionist, and I can help. 🐾💧 Comment KIDNEY to learn more!

The fiber content in zucchini helps with digestion, promoting regular bowel movements and preventing constipation. 🍃
Zucchini is made up of about 95% water, which can contribute to keeping dogs hydrated, especially in warmer months. 💦
It contains antioxidants like lutein and zeaxanthin that support eye health and protect cells from oxidative damage. 🌱
Zucchini is generally well-tolerated by dogs with food sensitivities or allergies, making it a good option for dogs with specific dietary needs. 🐾
It's best to serve zucchini raw, steamed, or lightly cooked without any seasoning or added fats. Always ensure it's cut into small, manageable pieces to avoid choking hazards.

The antioxidants in cabbage have natural anti-inflammatory effects, which can benefit dogs🐶 suffering from conditions like arthritis or other inflammatory issues.
Cabbage contains compounds like potassium and fiber, which can help maintain heart health by supporting healthy blood pressure levels and lowering cholesterol.
Cabbage also contains glucosinolates 🌱, compounds that are believed to have cancer-preventing properties.
Cooking cabbage makes it easier to digest and reduces the chances of causing gas or bloating. Steaming preserves most of the nutrients while making it gentle on your dog’s stomach. As always, moderation is key! 🐾

🎃 Fun and Healthy Halloween Treat for Your Pups! 🐾
🎃 Fun and Healthy Halloween Treat for Your Pups! 🐾
Look at this awesome and scary mold I got!
I simply added a blueberry to each skull, then mixed a small amount of water with pumpkin puree (canned plain pumpkin, not pumpkin pie filling) and scooped it to fill each mold.
I left it in the freezer overnight ❄️ — they got hard, but as I was holding a piece, it already started melting in my hand.
But look at the details — you can see each tooth!🦷
Reggie loved this spooky, cooling treat! 🐶🧡
Are you making anything special for your pup this Halloween?🐕

The emotional connection between dogs and their owners is deep. When humans are stressed, it can ripple into their dog's emotional and physical health. 🐕🦺
Stress often disrupts routines like feeding, walking, and playtime, which can leave dogs feeling anxious or frustrated. Without regular exercise, dogs may face weight gain, boredom, or anxiety. 🏃♂️ Lack of attention or social interaction can even lead to behavior regression.
By staying calm and nurturing, pet parents help keep their dogs emotionally balanced and healthy. ❤️
What daily techniques do you use to stay calm and relaxed? 🌿

Turkey breast is easy to digest for most dogs – it’s low in fat and rich in nutrients. 🦃 The B vitamins and selenium found in turkey breast help boost the immune system, supporting your dog’s ability to fight off infections and maintain overall health. 💪
The combination of high-quality protein and B vitamins helps convert food into energy, making turkey breast a great option for active dogs or those needing extra energy support. 🐕🦺
I recommend buying a whole turkey breast instead of ground turkey. Rosemary extract is often added to ground turkey to prevent spoilage and extend shelf life. ⚠
Rosemary extract can cause seizures in some dogs, especially those with a history of seizures – so I like to avoid feeding ground turkey.

Feeding bell peppers to dogs can provide several health benefits, as they are packed with essential nutrients that promote overall well-being. 🌶️
🟢 Bell peppers are high in vitamin C, which boosts the immune system, supports collagen production for healthy skin and joints, and helps reduce inflammation.
🔴 Especially red bell peppers are rich in vitamin A, which promotes good vision, particularly night vision, and supports a healthy coat.
✨ Vitamin E supports skin health and improves coat quality by helping repair damaged cells.
🧠 Vitamin B6 is important for proper brain function and energy production, and also supports the nervous system.
Bell peppers are loaded with antioxidants, particularly beta-carotene, which helps combat free radicals in the body.
The vitamins and antioxidants in bell peppers contribute to heart health by improving circulation and reducing the risk of cardiovascular issues. ❤️

Plug-in air fresheners can be harmful to dogs because of the chemicals they release into the air. These chemicals can lead to respiratory issues, skin irritation, and even long-term health problems like endocrine disruption or cancer. 🐶💔 It’s best to opt for safer, more natural alternatives to keep your home smelling fresh while protecting your dog's health.
Safer Alternatives for Dogs:
🌿 Natural Air Purifiers: Use natural odor eliminators like baking soda or activated charcoal.
🌸 Essential Oils (With Caution): Certain dog-safe essential oils (like lavender or chamomile) can be used in a diffuser in small amounts.
🌬️ Good Ventilation: Open windows and increase airflow in your home to naturally reduce odors.

Natural, properly prepared fresh ingredients are easier to digest and absorb than the hard kibble full of synthetic vitamins and minerals. 🥦✨ The more the body can absorb, the smaller the stool is going to be.
Improved skin and coat health is the result of the better ingredients used in gently-cooked meals: lean protein, fresh vegetables, and healthy fats. 🥩🥕
Better digestion and a more diverse microbiome result in a more robust immune system, leading to a happier, healthier, and more energetic dog! 🐾💖
Comment “FRESH” if you are ready to switch from kibble to a gently-cooked meal plan for your best friend!
