ADOPTED.
This is Titan. He is a big puppy, 8-months-old and already weighing over 100 lbs. Titan is a sweet boy. He loves everybody. Good with kids, other dogs as well as cats. He is house broken, crate trained, UTD on all vaccinations, neutered, on HW meds and he’s been microchipped. He is still very much a puppy, mouthy and full of energy. He needs to go to a home with another large dog, so he’ll have a playmate.

This is Nash, short for Nashville. He is a 2 1/2 year old blue Great Dane which we took into our rescue today. Nash’s owner moved to Austin after her divorce. She could not find a place to take Nash, so she sent him to live with relatives. After a year time, the owner found that the relatives were keeping Nash outside tied to a tree. So she got him back, but due to the fact that she was staying with friends, she had no place for Nash, and that’s why he ended up in Rescue.

Nash is an awesome dog. He loves people. He is great with kids, gets along with other dogs and even cats. He’s been fully vaccinated and microchip, and he is scheduled to be neutered next week, after which he will be ready to go to a new home.

This is Max. He is a 4-years-old neutered black & tan Great Dane. His owners are both active duty Air Force soldiers. They recently got deployment orders to relocate to Korea. They are unable to take Max with them, so Max needs to find a new home.

Buster is 120 lbs. 5-year-old Great Dane. He is neutered, microchiped, UTD on shots, heartworm negative, and on prevention. He is house broken, he knows basic commands, good around big dogs, small dogs, and cats. Buster is a big leaner. He gets anxious during storms, but Thundershirt seems to helps.

This is Olive. She is a 2-year-old Great Dane. She is Spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She is housebroken, crate trained, loves to walk on a leash, ride in a car, and like to cuddle with her human. Like most Danes, she is very much a Velcro dog. Due to losing every person she’s cared about in her two years of life, she has some separation anxiety. She can be weary of men until she gets to know them. She is good around cats, but needs to an only dog in the house.

This female Dane is at the Hickory Creek Animal Shelter. She was dumped by her owner and was picked by Animal Control as a stray. She is HW Pos.
After a short investigation it was found that this Dane is originally from a breeder in new Caney TX called Rainbow Danes. Not a good breeder, being that they sell their dogs to people who don't keep them on HW Prev., she was also used for breeding, then when owner did not want her, they just dumped her on the street. Not just that, when the shelter contacted Rainbow Danes, they did not bother to call the shelter back. Obviously they do not care about who they sell their dogs to nor what happen to the dogs that they sell. Shame on you Rainbow Danes.

This beautiful blue Great Dane is Sailor. She is one of the Great Danes that we got from the ASPCA puppy mill cruelty seizure. She is 1-year-old. Still very much a puppy. Being that she was one of 120 dogs living in a breeding facility, she did not get any attention, training or socialization with people, but she is quick to learn. It doesn’t take her long to get attached and bond with her family. She is great with other dogs.

Lilly the Chickinese

Lilly is a tiny Chikanese puppy that came into our rescue. She was born with a deformed front leg and she has a grade 4 heart murmur. We are trying to straighten the leg, but most likely it will need to be amputated. She will also need to have an echocardiogram. Donations to help with Lilly’s vet care will be greatly appreciated.

These are the two Danes that were left out in the freezing weather with no food or water. Donations are needed for their food & vet care. Our Venmo is @pawsofaustin
