Do you know this face? This is Coca! Dam to Shadow. She has been with us the longest out of any of the horses. Coca is senior, but she still has get up and go.  under experienced supervision, Coca would be a wonderful horse to teach a youth writer how to jump. We will support if someone would like to show her. Coca has been used in several different programs in the central Texas area. 

!!!!!! Please remember that a tried and true beginner horse still needs a solid intermediate rider to be safely handled. Beginners are not able to ride without assistance. Beginners need to take lessons or they will not be able to get the horse to do what they wanted to do in a way that is healthy and comfortable for the horse. If you need lessons, please ask.

Dutch is a barn favorite to ride
He’s 14 years old, in regular use for beginner rides at walk and trot and loads of fun for people who know how to ride to pick up the pace. He has some formal training on him, and would love to see him in use by someone who would like to show. We will support Haul out & training days. Because he is a more forward type, he’s appropriate for a truly high intermediate rider, and not a mid intermediate rider. 

Dutch is one of our tester horses when people say they are experienced to identify if they are truly advanced or if they are really more novice than they realize…..

He’d be totally suitable for a calm and confident 12-year-old under experienced supervision.

Charlotte is available for Lease! Charlotte is currently used for both lessons and trails at walk and trot for beginners under advanced instructor supervision. She has a big engine at the canter and is not appropriate for beginners or intermediate riders learning to canter. Cow bred. Would LOVE to see her put to use! Picks up proper leads, jumps, ponys & you can throw a rope off her.

Charlotte is available for lease to experienced riders on site with assistance for hauling if you would like to show or compete with her. 

Charlotte is able to carry some weight, but her rider needs to be balanced and experienced. At eight years old, she has a lot of room to grow still.

Have you seen this girl at events or riding around town? Probably… Do you know why? Because she’s just the best. You can go anywhere on her and do anything on her. Annie is one of our senior horses and we are looking for someone to lease her. She has a lovely trot and would be great for teaching your children how to ride while also having a horse that you trust to go out on a nice adventure hack on your own. She still likes to pick up the pace, but because she is a senior horse, we aren’t looking for someone who wants to be a speed demon on her. She’s happy to pick up to a canter, and she still will do 12 miles a day no problem, but we would really love to see her in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing and is invested in improving her top line. 

 Leasing is for individuals who already know how to ride. Annie is available in the lesson program here and there as well, but we’d like to move her out of the lesson program and into leasing. Instructors are available on site for Lessons, but if you’re interested in leasing, make sure you know how to handle a horse in all three gates, tack up unassisted, identify basic behavioral problems, and understand lameness.

Chester is one of those horses that everyone should ride in their lifetime. His fearless, forward, but absolutely no spook. Sure… He could totally take off with you if you leaned forward, jab them with your heels and squealed while staring at him instead of where you’re going! But as long as you have a tad bit of confidence, and you know the rule of keeping your heels down and looking where you want to go. You will be golden on this boy. He’s suitable for a mid intermediate rider who is confident, and available for lease.  should be fine for someone to work with their children on him lead Lihn or a Handy 10-year-old

Leasing is available for candidates who do not need lessons. Lessors need to be able to identify lameness, saddle fit, handle, basic Horse, behavioral problems, and Ride in all three gaites without assistance. There are lessons available as well with instructors on site, but if you’re interested in leasing, please let us know what questions you have! Chester needs a lightweight rider as he is quite senior. We are looking for someone who will do some Poll, Hill, backing exercises to build up some top line and make sure they give him extra groceries with every ride.

Now the one eyed pirate horse!
Rocky has been there and done that and some! He’s coming senior now, and although he still likes to pick up the pace, it’s time for him to have a slower go in life. We would love to see someone lease him who wants to get out on Trail and have some fun, relaxing ride rides with some pick up the pace options, but not a speed demon. He’d be an absolutely outstanding horse for you to teach your children how to ride on! If you’re interested in leasing, please let us know.

¡¡¡ leasing candidates must know their way around A Horse. Even a beginner proven horse like Rocky deserves to have someone who knows how to put his gear on correctly, work him through common Horse, behavioral tests and problems, and ensure the safest experience possible. We do not lease to beginners or low intermediate riders !!!

We have opened up some spots!
Makenzie  is offering Childrens Intro classes, Bluff top rides and one hour privates along with Ranch rides now open on Tuesday and Thursday evenings plus Friday mornings.

Jana is now offering the same on Friday evenings.

Don’t forget, we have the River Ride open on August 23 with a few openings remaining. If you are interested in doing a sunrise ride in downtown Austin to watch the sun come over the capital building, let us know!
