The only world he ever knew was the inside of a house with 68 other dogs and one woman.
After about a month of everything he had ever known disappearing, and experiencing a new life at RFR, he has grown and built trust, and was finally feeling ready to come to the vet and get everything he needs to to make his world even bigger!
The day he was relocated from the hoarding home, he was snarling and snapping at the transporters. Today he allowed the vet techs to pick him up, carry him, and administer his much needed tests and vaccinations 🥲🥲🥲.
Pending vet results and a bit more socialization, The Griz will be available for adoption soon!

Velvet (the black retriever) was on her last day at the shelter on Monday. Likely overlooked because she was presenting as “shy, timid, not friendly, shut down, not trusting” but all she needed was a different environment and a reason to trust and not be scared. The behavior dogs present in a shelter environment often times do not match the behavior they will have once they feel safe.
Just a couple months ago, Ducky was completely paralyzed. We’re still working with her neurologist to pinpoint her diagnosis and longterm plan, as all of her lab work has been inconclusive, but look at those leggies go! Meet Ducky! What a difference two weeks can make! That’s all the time it took for this little lady to go from being completely paralyzed and on death row at the shelter, to zooming around the RFR house and living her best life! She is the sweetest little miracle and is so excited about life and all her new BFFs.
The amazing New Hope Animal Rescue was the only group willing to take a chance on Ducky and took on her hefty medical bills from the veterinarian and the neurologist. Any size donations toward her care would be extremely helpful.
