Austin K9 Xpress Agility Training Club is proud to say that our Spring NADAC trial was a huge success by all accounts.

89 dogs 🐕 and 62 handlers entered to test their training and skills over three days on Judge Daniel Edwards' creative courses. Daniel flew in from California with his speedy mini-poodle, Milo, and they competed, as well.

The Dripping Springs Ranch Park & Event Center arena was ready for us with two large rings with beautifully groomed dirt. They really did a great job of working with us to accommodate all our needs for this trial.

This trial is special for many reasons:
■ We include intro courses in almost every class (everything but gamblers) and we ♥️♥️♥️ to get new dogs and handlers to make this trial their starting point. Lots of intro teams entered, and watching these teams get out there was exciting, fun and joyful❣️

■ This year, we had Stibbar Leather (www.stibbar.com) bring their beautiful leashes and collars which many folks appreciated. And on Saturday, Rob Martin with Paw Prints Photography (www.pawprintsphoto.net) spent all day with us taking amazing photos of all the dogs in action.

■ We offer a variety of Specialty High-in-Trial Awards, an overall High-in-Trial Award, and an amazing worker’s raffle coordinated by Laurie Nowlin, just to mention a few perks.

■ We have great food 🍕 for our hungry workers as Jan Daley provided breakfast, lunch and dinner to keep our volunteers sated.

■ Jan also keeps the ribbons flowing, and she and Jaime Davis make our beautiful NATCH bars. Vanessa Fanelli and Stella took home their first NATCH bar when they rocked an elite Regular course. Randy Pratt and Trypp earned five different NATCH titles including his Platinum NATCH 5 and V-NATCH 5 after successful runs in both elite TNG classes.

■ Our chief course builders, Steve Martin and Linda Lavolette, worked incredibly hard for 3 days keeping classes moving in a complicated two ring scenario.

■ The two rings needed multiple Ring Stewards and Vanessa Fanelli, Charlie Hackenbruch, Annie Elequin and Jyl Hershman-ross

■ Mike Stinson always shows up for us in so many ways – this year he took on driving the trailer to move our equipment back and forth to the trial site (and many other random tasks).

■ Dana Zachgo Wright and Lauren Goldberg worked to get scores entered and results out quickly and accurately.

And the entire effort was orchestrated under the lead of Kim Diane Galusha, who makes juggling all the plates in the air look easy, while simultaneously running three dogs.

Thanks to all who came! We look forward to seeing everyone back again next year!

Work day at - we now have all our agility equipment ready for our NADAC trial this weekend at Ranch Park Event Center in Dripping Springs Texas. Huge thanks to all the members that helped us last Saturday. We all hope to see you at our trial even if you just come to watch. The trial will run February 28 through March 2.

More highlights from the K9X USDAA trial this last weekend.
**Jan Daley fed all the competitors and they were so thankful that the tip jar stayed full.
**Riley Scott handed out cash awards for Steeplecase winners while standing on a chair. 😄
**Megan Lyons organized the workers raffle table. Huge thanks to Sue Lindsay for donating about 8 dozen fresh eggs from her hens as raffle items. They were a hit!
**The Team Relay competition was run with roses. Perfect touch to pass your team partner a rose in the middle of the run. 🌹
**The Photo Booth was set up by Megan. It was a booth designed by Jen Konrad years ago and brought back this weekend.

Thank you everyone who came out to our USDAA trial! This trial couldn't go on without all of you. We love the supportive and welcoming atmosphere you all bring. Judge Rebecca Hill's courses were almost as fun as the company! We loved how encouraging Rebecca was with both our seasoned competitors and our new handlers/baby dogs.

It was amazing to see all the amazing training, gorgeous Qs, first trial runs, blink and you'll miss nearly perfect runs, and new titles. Congratulations especially to all of the competitors who left with newly minted Champion/Bronze/Silver dogs. Y'all were so amazing that we're cleaned out of ADCH/PDCH bars. A special HUGE congratulations to club member Lauren and Ziva on their PDCH!

We appreciate everyone coming together to work classes/partial classes. Without all of you, this trial couldn't happen! We ran out of jobs for people setting up on Friday and the ring was swamped during builds. There aren't enough words of appreciation for everyone!

Thank you so much to our trial committee: Lauren and Mike kept course builds running FAST and we're the driving force behind keeping us on schedule. Jan's hospitality was the hero of the weekend! Great volunteers run on even better food, and Jan's to thank. She also made sure to get us gorgeous ribbons, make the bars, and added tournament ribbons. Megan was a STAR keeping the ring staffed and running the raffle. And of course, thank you to Kim (Diane) and Riley for running the trial and keeping everything going smoothly.

We can't wait for our next USDAA trial! But in the meantime, we do have a NADAC trial coming up at the end of the month.
