Located at 2100 Barton Springs Road, Zilker Metropolitan Park is considered "Austin's most loved park." This 351 acre park is home to a variety of recreational opportunities and special events for the individual or the whole family. Of the 351 acres, 45.65 acres is the Off-Leash Dog Park portion, bounded by Stratford Dr, Barton Springs Rd, and Neff Rd, and is known as the "Great Lawn." Well-behaved dogs can roam and play off-leash, but must be under verbal control and within your sight.

Areas of Zilker Park's Great Lawn will be closed intermittently 6/3-6/5, 6:30am-1:00pm for fertilizer and herbicide application. Lou Neff Rd will be closed on 6/3, 6:30am-12:00pm. The Stratford gravel lot will be available for parking. We request that patrons observe all posted signage and remain clear of equipment and fertilized areas until the application has dried. The popular free Zilker Shuttle returns to Zilker Park just in time for the Memorial Day holiday weekend! The Zilker Shuttle runs from 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday, May 25 through September 2, 2024, and during the Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day holidays.
