Ophelia says needed here! But her auntie needs to clean the lens lol.

Ophi has great news to share, her blood work has come back with great results and it looks as though her surgery was successful!!! She will see the full results in about more months so will just need to stay on meds and special diet until then.

But we are happy to announce that this sweet crazy girl should live a normal dog life!!!! 🥳

Now it's time to get this girl into her forever family! Ophi is a young girl and has 2 modes; play and snuggle. She would do great with another pup as a playmate, or with an active family. Ophi is very intelligent and curious so she would make a great candidate for additional training.

Ophi is also one of the best snugglers we have had. She is so warm, and just melts into you. If you had plans, and she sits on your lap .. your plans are now to snuggle and fight to stay awake 😴😳😴🫩😴

Meet Vic!

Vic comes to us from the euthanasia list at PVAS. He was brought into the shelter with about a dozen other pups after his owner had been arrested. The poor babies did not enjoy the shelter, but their owner was going to pick them up when they were released from jail. After they were released, they went to their shelter to reclaim their babies...well most of them. Poor Vic was left behind and alone.

After being there alone without his siblings, Vic began to become aggressive and bitey, which unfortunately landed him on their kill list. We were able to get a foster, and Vic took the road trip to Austin, where he was so aggressive, they couldn't even get him out of the kennel. His fosters jokingly called him Vic as a nickname for vicious. After getting home, they took out the kennel and just set it down with the door open. In less than an hour, Vic had made himself home and laid on the back of their sofa, and was asking for pets!

Vic was just protecting himself when he was scared 😨❤️ and now safe in a warm home, his guards came down and he was ready for his new life!

Vic is doing great, but did come back HW positive. This means he will be on medical hold for a few months as he undergoes treatment.

He's got some dull and patchy fur from either fleas or poor diet, so we have plenty of time to get him shining 🌟 while we kill the wormies!

Congratulations Iggy!

Our tiny werewolf, Iggy, has met his match! After completing his first shot for slow kill for his heartworms, Iggy got the go ahead to go home! He will have to get another proheart shot in a few months to kill any other wormies, but he is finally ready to start life with his mama!

Meet and congratulate Wally!

Wally joined us from the New Braunfels shelter on Thursday, and on Saturday he got to crash a meet and greet... and he stole the show.

Wally is the happiest boi, and is so curious and excited about his new life ❤️. His new parents recently lost their chi babies, and Wally is 💯% ready to fill that hole in their hearts. We are so excited they get to have warm laps and get to hear tiny feet taps on the floor again!

Meet Utah!

Utah was surrendered after his owner no longer wanted to care for him, and he went from being an indoor pup, to spending the last couple of years being an outdoor dog.

Utah has adapted to indoor life with 0 issues! He is already 90% potty trained, and rules the house 🏠❤️. He still will mark, but is learning to stop as he was just neutered recently and the urge is going down.

Utah is an awesome 😎 dude and is so happy and confident! He loves all dogs, and every pup he meets is a friend. Utah is approximately 8 lbs but looks smaller but is just dense 💪 and muscly. He is approximately 8 years old and is still able to hang with anyone; big, small, old, or young.

This sweet boi also LOVES to be held and snuggled. He likes to sleep in bed 🛏️ with his foster fam in his own little chi bed. Utah was made to be a house dog, and we are so glad his days as an outdoor pup are done!!

Meet Rockums (scruffy male), Sockums (🍫 female), and Thiccums (spotted female).

All pups are already pending with backups, so we are not taking additional applications at this time!

This trio is so adorable, they were immediately claimed by family members of their foster ❤️🥰

Rockums, Sockums, and Thiccums were found abandoned in a cardboard box in South Texas with only a t-shirt. The box was left open in full sun exposure ☀️😭. Thankfully a good samaritan found them and got them cared for immediately. They were covered in fleas and intestinal parasites, but these babies weren't phased by the ill treatment. They love everyone they meet!

They will go to their families after they have completed their medical treatments.

Congratulations Jackqueline 🎉🎉🎉

Sweet mama Jackie has officially reached the next chapter of her life! A couple of months ago, Jackqueline was nursing a litter of puppies and taking care of her babies. Now she is officially the baby in her family and never has to look back! We are so excited for her and her new mama!

It may be April 1st, be we are not foolin you with how crazy it is that Ophelia is not adopted yet 🤪🥴

You would an absolute April Fool to not immediately fall in love with this sweet insane angel 😇.

Ophelia is crazy in all of the best ways and we are so in love with her fun and snuggly personality, but she is ready to find her forever family and start her new life!

Ophi loves everyone; adults, kids, men, women, and dogs. She is very playful and loves having other dogs to run or lounge with, and always enjoys a good stuffy to destroy 🔪🧸. When Ophelia gets super excited or is happy you are home she will squeal and scream with joy, so she wouldn't make the best apartment pup unless your neighbors don't mind an occasional serenade when you get home.

Despite being energetic, Ophelia is incredibly intelligent and loving. She has no boundaries, and when she meets a new person she will want to jump into their arms and give them kisses 😘 and flirt. When you are at home, she just wants a lap and a blanket. Ophelia is 💯 about just falling asleep while you watch your shows or read a book. She is the softest most endearing lap heater you have ever met.

When you ask a foster mama for thirst trap pics of their foster pup, and they 💯% deliver. This mom knew the assignment!!! 😜🥤

Uliana is some how STILL waiting for a family! Blows our minds 🤯 that no one has scooped her up.

Uliana is about is about 5 years old and 6 lbs. When we got her she was hesitant with new people, but now, this queen 👑 is a dog about town and a socialite. She gets along with women, men, and children and other small pups.

Uliana looooooves going out! She loves walks and stroller rides. She will keep up with the best of them on their walkies, and when she is done, asks for the stroller and just enjoys the breeze in her tiara!

When she is done with her social events and walks, Uliana will just snuggle you all day! She wants to be the little spoon 🥄 and sleep in the bed with her people.

Uliana also really enjoys food... she just loves to eat, and snack. Her favorite errand is to go with her foster family to Summer Moon coffee and get herself a lil pup cup and cookie.

Congratulations Nandor!

Nandor was a skinny pup when he came to us from Abilene. But this best boi was hungry for more than food, he wanted a family!! Boy did he get the pick of the litter with his forever family 😁. Nandor joined a previous adopters family and is already so in 💕 love. We are so happy this match could happen!

As soon as baby Berta hit her foster mama's hands... It was a done deal 🤝😍🥰. Last week, this little girl had landed herself in the Gonzales Animal Shelter. From there she found her dream home where she fits in as if she had been there forever ❤️

Molly Pupdate!

Sorry for the radio silence on our little sweet fuzzball ❤️. After reducing Molly's Prednisone per the neurologist, she had an episode of blindness and began spinning. She was scared, and began knuckling and stumbling as she didn't understand what was going on. Worried for sweet Molly, we got her to the emergency vet to be looked at immediately. Thankfully after a couple of hours her vision came back, and her spinning subsided. Since then we have put her back on Prednisone, she has mainly returned back to herself when she was at her peak ❤️🥰. Molly does have episodes of vision issues, spinning, and balance issues, but she's no longer worried when it happens, she just wags her tail and listens for her foster mama to call "mollymollymolly".

At this point, without spending 6k for an MRI, we don't know what is causing her neurological issues. But since it worsened after reducing her meds, it means that we are most likely dealing with hydrocephalus or possibly a mass in her brain.

At this point, we are treating her as if it is hydrocephalus with additional medication for several weeks to see if she improves at all to see if we can rule it out. If we don't see any improvements, she will most likely be considered special needs and potentially hospice.

Molly is so incredibly happy, loved, and not in any pain. She helped us with a sewing party over the weekend, and claimed diva on our most divalicious harness, and even got a haircut to even out the grow out that was giving her the homeless chic vibe she has been rocking.
