Penelope’s rescue story began when she was just 2 months old who lived in the streets 😻

One day, Penny lost her ear when she was suddenly attacked by a wild animal. Luckily, Melanie and her cat was nearby and her cat was able to alert Melanie that Penny was in danger 🐈

As a catmom, Melanie had to rescue and help Penny with her ear injury and later on, took Penny in and adopted her! 🥰❤️

Fate has brought them together the day they rescued Penny. Now, they are unstoppable and inseparable! ✨🫶🏻

Our dog’s paws are more than just for walking, running or playtime. They serve many critical functions that we may sometimes take for granted. Here is an elaborate description of the 5 main structures of of a dog’s paw:

🐾 Digital pads are the small, round pads under each toe (digit) that provide cushioning and have thick and keratinized skin for protection from cold, warm and rough surfaces.

🐾 Metacarpal pads are the main and big heart shaped pads that takes much of the dog’s weight when they walk or run.

🐾 Carpal Pads are found on the two front legs that don’t touch the ground that helps them come to a stop quickly or make an abrupt pivot

🐾 Claws are the four nails found on the rear paws that are used for traction, scratching, digging, and holding. Normal and healthy paws have slightly curved claws pointing towards the dog’s head.

🐾 Dewclaws are found around the wrist area that are used to help grip things that they are holding between their paws.

When Dominique, her cat mom, first met her and called her by her name, Ivy, she knew she had to keep the name because Ivy instantly answered to it and jumped on her lap which showed how their beautiful story started with their instant and incredible connection 😍

From rags to riches! Ivy is blessed to be in her furever home with Dominique getting spoiled, enjoying all the treats and never having to scavenge through the trash just to survive 🥰
