June was wild in the best way! We had 22 adoptions last month, and each one was a life forever changed!🎉 Every dog that found a home had once been at risk. 
 
A huge thank you to our community, you showed up, you shared, you opened your homes and your hearts, and because of you, 22 dogs now have the futures they deserve. Together, we’re not just saving lives, we’re changing the narrative for pit bull-type dogs and proving they’re worthy of every second chance!

💔Sweet Genie is back in our care after her adoption didn’t turn out to be the right long-term fit. While we always hope for forever the first time, we’re so glad she’s safe, loved, and surrounded by familiar faces while we help her start fresh.

Genie originally came to us as a tiny puppy, scroll over to see those baby photos! Now at 1 year old and 33 lbs, she’s grown into a playful, affectionate, and lovable little companion. She’s done wonderfully in a home and is ready to find her true forever family.

She’s not just any Darla… she’s our Darla 💖

If you know, you know: Darla from The Little Rascals had all the boys in love and honestly, our Darla is no different! She’s not just a good dog… she’s an absolute angel! Darla has had a rough start. At just 2 years old she found herself at an overcrowded shelter after weaning her puppies. This mama is gentle, calm, endlessly affectionate, and the kind of soul who makes everyone around her feel giddy!

She leans in close for cuddles, follows you with soft eyes and runs to you with her short little legs! She’s great with other dogs, adores people, and is as close to perfect as they come!

Our recent event was a huge success, full of wagging tails, happy tears, and incredible connections! We loved seeing so many people come out to meet our adoptables, especially during our name your adoption fee happening June 28–29! 🚨MEDICAL HELP🚨

Who remembers sweet Debbie, affectionately nicknamed Deb by her foster, the gentle senior girl who came to us just a few weeks ago. Debbie is a one-of-a-kind lady, and now she needs a village to help her heal 🥺

While under anesthesia for her spay, our vet was able to examine what were initially thought to be some harmless lumps and bumps. Ultimately, 2 of her masses required surgical removal and one remaining bump was aspirated for further testing. On top of all of that, poor Deb is suffering from some mild arthritis and in the midst of heartworm treatment. With some answers still unknown, we need your help to ensure we can say “yes” to any treatment Debbie may need. Despite a life of obvious neglect before we saved her, she’s still so full of love, hope and endless snuggles! 🥰

Her medical care totals over $1,700 so far and every dollar brings her closer to the comfort and care she deserves in her golden years. Please donate now as we head into another appointment on Monday and continue to wait on test results from her lumps.

Welcome Carter🍊

At just 6 months old, Carter has already known what it feels like to be left behind. He came into the shelter with his sister, and while she was adopted, carter was not. He watched her leave while he stayed behind, still just a baby, still waiting to be chosen.

Well, we chose him! Carter is now safe in our care and let’s just say he has the cutest underbite in all of Austin,Tx. He’s a sweet, wiggly boy who just wants to cuddle and now he finally has the chance because a foster home opened up!

💔Trixie should have never ended up like this…

When she came into our care, it was clear her past had been anything but kind. Her body tells the story: scars, worn down, and bearing the physical signs of being bred over and over again. Used. Neglected. Forgotten.

She was discarded when she was no longer “useful.” But she is so much more than what was done to her.That life ends now.

Trixie is safe in our rescue in Austin,Tx. For the first time, she’ll know soft beds, gentle hands, and people who see her for who she really is, a loving, resilient girl who never gave up! She is obsessed with her foster dad and currently in foster with two other dogs!
