Want to volunteer at microfarm this semester? Here is all the info you need! We had to make a few changes this semester, because of our new online schedule for the first 2 weeks and due to the amount of work we have to do this semester. Please note that our first workday will take place on Feb 6. We are completely filled up with group volunteers, but we can still take small groups! Let us know if you have any questions and we hope to see you there !!! Please follow our Instagram for more information and frequent updates.

Yes!! It’s true! We are reopening volunteer workdays!!!!! Come join us to re-beautify the farm! Since the Covid-19 pandemic severely limited our volunteer opportunities, some parts of the farm need a little work and a little love. If you want to attend, please sign up on GivePulse. Since we can have no more than 8 volunteers (plus 2 leaders), we are using give pulse to manage attendance. Here is the link to our GivePulse page: https://www.givepulse.com/group/events/6353. Please note that there are separate sign ups for thursday and saturday workdays, and that you must sign up for each day you intend to go. You can also find these links in our linktree: https://linktr.ee/utmicrofarm. you have 2 hours before the event starts to sign up, and 3 hours before to cancel. The Thursday Workday will be held from 6-8 pm and the Saturday workday will be held from 10am to 12 pm at the UT Microfarm. The UT Microfarm is located behind the tennis courts at the Whitaker Intramural fields. We will be weeding, mulching, watering, harvesting plus other miscellaneous tasks. Everything we harvest is donated to UT Outpost! Volunteers should bring their masks, UT ID, water, sunscreen, and wear shoes that can get dirty. For information on how to get to the site and parking, we have a graphic on our website that you can check out here . We look forward to meeting you there! If you have any questions, please email [email protected], or DM us! We are so so excited!!!!

this semester, we were lucky to be the venue of UTNT’s (UT new theater) first in person production since last year, Community Garden by Renae Simone Jarrett, Directed by Kristen Osborn! Our co-leads, Nikki and Sally, were able to be heavily involved in the production as the assistant director and the garden consultant, respectively. this beautiful production utilized our space so well, and we were so happy to be a part of UT’s reentry into live theater. Congrats to the cast and crew!
