Mindful Training Hello Austin! We teach you how to train, shape, and manage your dog's energy and behavior mindfully. In-person: At your residence for a $50 fee.

Mindfulness is a diverse practice that everyone can cultivate. You can attain and cultivate mindfulness through a formal practice like meditation or by maintaining a joyful mind during daily activities such as dog training. This practice will allow you to operate at your best with your dog as well as other aspects of your life. Mindful Training provides you with the tools and practice to shape you

r dog's behavior and manage their energy. Through basic obedience commands and consistent practice, we cultivate a more conscious relationship with our dogs. Services Include:


Consultations:
Remote Via video chat for a $30 fee. These consults usually last 1 hour. These consults are your opportunity to share all of your goals, questions, and concerns. Our trainer will then detail how MT can address each of your concerns. If you like what we offer and find that our approach to training is what you're looking for, then we can schedule a first day of training at the end of the consultation. Training sessions: $90
A training session lasting 40min with a report of your dog's performance emailed to you in the evening. Training sessions begin at home and can then be held in dog friendly locations. Packaged training sessions:

Package 1: $320
4 training sessions ($80 ea.) Package 2: $600
8 training sessions ($75 ea.) Package 3: $840
12 training sessions ($70 ea.) Training walks: $40
Walks last for 40 min and include shortened daily notes. The walk is a private training service where your trainer will practice the basic obedience commands: Heel, Look, and Sit/Stay with your dog. CAT & Reverse CAT: $40 additional on top of the training session fee. CAT (Constructional Aggression Treatment): This is a behavior modification practice that helps our dogs who are leash aggressive, or fear-based leash aggressive, learn to be less agitated by seeing other dogs on leash and more responsive to their handler. Reverse CAT: This practice works similarly to the regular CAT procedure, however, it addresses and treats dogs who are leash frustrated (rather than aggressive or fear-based aggression), to be less agitated and more responsive to their handler. Mindful Puppy Classes @ Austin Urban Vet Center: $250
A 4-week puppy course hosted at AUVC. The course covers basic obedience training, housebreaking, product recommendations, and facilitated play. Please send all service inquiries to [email protected]

Spotlight: Goose 🪿

This handsome guy is a Golden Retriever x Australian Shepherd mix! He is loveable and playful and loves a good chew. His favorite bones are the huge ones from the pet store! We begun training him last summer to help him grow his skills and responsiveness with basic obedience commands. This has supported his acclimation to his family and home.🏡 Now we take him on training walks to provide engagement and energy burning throughout the week!

We've had such a Schnauzin' Spring with Birdie & Charles! These cuties are trainees who use our Pet Sit Drop-In service for days their parents are busy at work and won't be home until later. Each drop in is 40 minutes long and comes with notes, photos, or videos, and updates sent to you, the pet parent! This service is perfect for potty breaks, energy burning, play and engagement. Especially if you keep your dog inside a crate or confined during the day.

Spotlight: Pocket

This is Pocket! he's a Morkipoo (Maltese Yorki Mix) and a Mindful Trainee! He goes on weekly training walks to burn physical and mental energy. With these walks, he gets the opportunity to practice being more responsive to his handler instead of being excited and reactive to dogs that pass by. Pocket successfully completed our Reverse Constructional Aggression Treatment where he practiced being calm with a leashed dog distraction present, moving toward him. Pocket did SO well he was able to walk alongside the dog just a few feet away without any barking or lunging!

Spotlight: Charlie

This is Charlie! He's a King Charles Cavalier who recently began training for engagement and energy burning. He is part of a family with 3 human kid siblings. One of them is a new baby 👶 which means Charlie isn't the baby any more. Recently, Charlie has gotten into a little mischief, peeing inside, and chewing on unapproved objects like the wall and couch pillows! Training has been a helpful tool to provide engagement, burn his energy, and has provided a way to call him from something he shouldn't get into and redirects him to his parents or siblings instead. He has been practicing the Place/Stay command and he begun Crate Training today!

Spotlight: Wild Man

This lil guy is a Jack Russel-Chihuahua mix and he's a new trainee! He was found and rescued by his loving parents who saw him at the Chuy's off North Lamar in Austin. He is very smart, playful, and loving! In fact his second nick name is Sweet Pea. Currently he practices obedience commands to work on boosting his confidence and capability being alone and away from his parents.

Spotlight Sadie .and.theboys

This sweetheart, Sadie the Pitty, recently completed her training program with us at Mindful Training. Knowing training has increased her responsiveness, shaped her behavior, and manages her excitable energy living in an apartment with her 2 cat brothers. According to her mom, training has been "the best investment I've made with my dog so far!" Sadie has plans to begin our training walks for more energy burning after spring break!
