Poinsettias, also known as the Christmas flower, were introduced in the 1820s.

Though these flowers are beautiful, it’s important to note that they are moldy toxic to pets.

If consumed by your pet, mild signs of gastrointestinal upset including vomiting, drooling or, rarely, diarrhea may be seen. If you notice these side effects from your fur friend, taking trip to the vet may be necessary.

Keeping poinsettias out of the reach of your pets is still a good idea, but don’t let an urban myth prevent you from celebrating the Christmas holiday with a touch of floral style! 🐾

This will be the second time I have used This Lil' Dog of Mine services for my cat, and I couldn't be happier. Both sitters were wonderful, keeping me updated every day and making sure my cat was taken care of. I felt very safe and comfortable having them in my home. I will definitely use their service again because leaving my home and cat in good hands is my top priority.
