Just like humans, dogs can benefit from a yearly flu shot!

Canine influenza virus (CIV) is primarily the result of two influenza strains: H3N8 and H3N2. Both strains were previously known to infect species other than dogs but can now infect and spread among dogs.

Currently, there are approved CIV vaccines in the United States and Canada. Vaccination against canine flu should be considered for any at-risk breed, dogs with heart or respiratory conditions, dogs that travel or show, and those that have frequent contact with other dogs (e.g., those that are boarded or go to dog parks).

You and your pet are our first priority, and we are proud to offer a home delivery option that allows your pet's food to be delivered right to your doorstep! This home delivery option is fully customizable to your pet's needs, and you can even set up an auto-shipment that comes as frequently as you'd like!
If you would like to continue picking your pet's food up at our clinic, we would be happy to place a special order just for your pet. Please call us at (512) 444-7518. All we ask is to please call us by Friday so your order can be delivered by Tuesday. Our staff will happily give you a call once it's received.

The winter chill is here in Austin, TX! With temperatures in the 40s this week and possible snow, here are some tips to keep your pet safe.

Make sure to keep your pets inside! If you do take your pup on a walk, protect their paws from ice and salt. You can booties or a vet-approved paw protectant. When returning inside from walks, make sure to wipe your pet's paws and belly to remove any ice, salt, or other chemicals. If your pet is short-haired, consider getting them a jacket or sweater!
