Groomer Highlight Pt 9 🎬🌟🐾

Hey there, my name is Camellia! I am new to the Austin area but absolutely love every part of this vibrant city. I was born in Santa Barbara, CA and moved to Boise, ID when I was 10. I learned all of my training in Boise and have been grooming for almost 11 years!!

My favorite hobbies are food 😅 and outdoor activities with my kiddos like swimming, bike rides, roller skating, anything to keep us moving!! I also love to throw on some good tunes like oldies, 90’s, reggae and enjoy my day dancing to the music! My foodie heart has traveled a few places around town but so far my favorite place has been Rollin Smoke BBQ. It’s a delicious BBQ food truck that serves killer sandwiches and amazing sides!

My groomer pro tip is spend at least a couple times a week brushing your dog! Even your short haired babies enjoy the bonding and it helps maintain their natural shedding process!

Hi, my name is Nicole! I was born and raised in Austin, Texas, and I have been working in the dog industry for a total of 5 years. For the first 4 years, I worked as a bather and received my training at Barkin Creek. For the past 1 year and 3 months, I have been working here as a groomer.

In my free time, I enjoy paddle boarding, reading, trying new food spots in the city, and thrifting. Currently, my favorite food spots are Aba’s and Sapori!

For dog owners, I suggest building a strong relationship with your pet and maintaining a consistent schedule to help them get accustomed to the grooming process and their groomer. The more comfortable your pet feels, the better the end result of the grooming process will be!

Howdy Austin! I’m Robert — your homegrown Austinite - dogs have been my livelihood since ‘93, oh boy! How time flies when the fur flies, after 15 yrs of grooming I can say it never gets old.

When it comes to hobbies you can find me on my motorcycle, bicycle or hanging out at Zilker Park — whether it’s at Lou Neff Point, Possum Pew and last but not the least my fountain of youth: Barton Springs Pool..

When it come to food, Austin is a cornucopia of cultural eats throughout the city; for now I would say MezzeMe in the Triangle is my favorite grub at the moment, the lentil soup is as smooth as it gets.

My word of advice for pet owners: daily walks with your pet .. In my eyes dogs are wolves suspended in a state of youth, movement is key to their physical and mental health.

My name is Ashley Hermans and I have 20 years of experience in grooming animals. I have worked in Hollywood and Washington DC, as well as at zoos and as a Wildlife Officer at a Humane Society. I have also trained guide dogs for the blind and managed an animal shelter.

Howdy, My name is Melinda!
I have been a professional dog groomer for over 30 years and have acquired more than 16 certificates in dog behavior and continuing education. Prior to this, I worked as a veterinary technician in surgery. During my leisure time, I enjoy spending time with my niece and nephew, and attending comic book conventions. Apart from managing the shop, I also act as an instructor for aspiring groomers. Additionally, I specialize in creative grooming, color and carving. I am a proud owner of two dogs - a pug and a mixed breed. Working at Barking Creek has been one of the best experiences of my life. In fact, Tatiana is one of our playgroup rockstars here at APA! This royal slice of puppy love enjoys meeting new people and has done great with all her kiddo friends. She knows the commands: sit, down, come. Tatiana is house trained, leash trained, and crate trained as well. Oakley would love to wiggle next to (and sometimes right on top of you) for cuddles. He greets every new human he meets by showing off his most perfect "sit and looking up at you with his warm brown eyes.

He's started to show us his goofy and energetic personality. He knows some basic commands, and has made quick progress on potty training, and we believe he'll be able to learn very quickly in a home (especially if treats and toys are involved)
