time! Today's feature is Pookie 💕 and he happens to be the long lost brother of a dog we've helped find a furever home before!

Pookie is a charming 4-year-old Papillon-Chihuahua mix looking for a forever home. At 13lbs, this little guy has spent his life with one family. He has lived with other dogs and cats but he loves being with his human most of all. Sadly, due to no fault of his own, his family had to give him up. 😔💔 Pookie is still adjusting to his new surroundings now but has taken it all in stride - he’s very sweet and willing to take on new adventures.

Pookie may need a little extra patience to build trust with new men, but when he warms up, he becomes the most loyal and loving companion you could ask for. He adores long walks where he can strut his stuff and explore, and he’ll happily follow you around the house like your tiniest, most devoted shadow.

If you’re looking for a sweet, spunky little sidekick, Pookie might just be your perfect match!

Halloween is always such a fun season, and even better with dogs! Here's a recap of how we spent our October, from getting into the spirit with all our favorite pups around town to benefitting senior adoptables and partnering with a wonderful photographer to capture some spooky-adorable moments. 👻🍂

It's our favorite day of the week - ❤️🐾

This polite house hippo is Mama. Kaitlan has had the pleasure of visiting Mama in her foster home when her amazing foster human is away at work, and she has completely fallen in love with her!

With her perfectly compact size and 10 years of qualified experience, Mama is simply the perfect lap dog. Mama loves her people SO much, even more than her favorite toys. She is easy going, totally housetrained, laid back, and loves to follow you around in search of affection or some soft playtime. She has beautiful leash skills, but doesn't ask for long demanding walks because she prefers to be spending quality time with her friends anyway. We can't sing her enough praise!

that dogs with black colored fur are statistically the most likely to go overlooked in animal shelters? This means they are more likely to spend longer periods of time unadopted in the shelter system, which means they often have the saddest outcomes... ❤️‍🩹🥺

It's again!🐶

This week we are featuring adoptable 7 month old puppy Eos 🥹

This loving pup is currently being fostered through in the heart of Downtown Austin! Are you looking for a dog who can be active and social with you? Eos is your guy! He loves a good hike on the trail or around the city and all of the nice humans he gets to meet along the way. Eos would love a park or yard he can run around in, but will be happy as long as he gets his exercise and lots of love from his people. After a long hard day of being so cute and friendly, Eos likes to snuggle with his favorite people and toys.

Lucky for you, Eos is already potty trained, so the main puppy skill he will still need help with learning is crate training. He has already shown to be smart and food motivated, which should make that a breeze.

Who else has had a super tough week? Tough MONTH?! Raise your hands! 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻

Today, we wanted to share these kind words we received from our new friend Koda's family. ❤️ Koda is a shy rescue pup who was a little nervous adjusting to loud city noises. While she is still on her bravery journey, we are committed to giving this little lady the best possible support along the way.

To the pets and pawrents who choose us: you keep us going. Even when we have our hard days, seeing those happy furry faces makes our whole worlds shine. Words like this mean so much to us, because it means you see how much we really care and love your pets like our own.

Today's adoptable feature is 3 month old puppy, Leo ❤️

About a month ago, Leo's family adopted him from Austin Animal Center, and Leo fit right in at home with his human parents and both of his dog and cat siblings. Sadly, after Leo joined the family, the older resident pup began guarding food from Leo. Despite the family's best management, one incident resulted in a small piece of Leo's tongue being bit off, and so they decided that the safest option for Leo going forward is to rehome him.

Leo is playful, cuddly, crate trained, loves playing with dogs, cohabitates with the cat, sleeps through the night, and is almost fully potty trained. He will come with his crate, 6 months of flea and heartworm preventatives, toys, his food bowl, and his collar and leash. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations.
