Who else has had a super tough week? Tough MONTH?! Raise your hands! 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻

Today, we wanted to share these kind words we received from our new friend Koda's family. ❤️ Koda is a shy rescue pup who was a little nervous adjusting to loud city noises. While she is still on her bravery journey, we are committed to giving this little lady the best possible support along the way.

To the pets and pawrents who choose us: you keep us going. Even when we have our hard days, seeing those happy furry faces makes our whole worlds shine. Words like this mean so much to us, because it means you see how much we really care and love your pets like our own.

Today's adoptable feature is 3 month old puppy, Leo ❤️

About a month ago, Leo's family adopted him from Austin Animal Center, and Leo fit right in at home with his human parents and both of his dog and cat siblings. Sadly, after Leo joined the family, the older resident pup began guarding food from Leo. Despite the family's best management, one incident resulted in a small piece of Leo's tongue being bit off, and so they decided that the safest option for Leo going forward is to rehome him.

Leo is playful, cuddly, crate trained, loves playing with dogs, cohabitates with the cat, sleeps through the night, and is almost fully potty trained. He will come with his crate, 6 months of flea and heartworm preventatives, toys, his food bowl, and his collar and leash. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations.

Please share Leo to help him find his new home! We will happily connect anyone who is interested so you can set up a meet and greet. 🐶❤️

Happy (almost) 4th of July! 🎆 Did you know that more pets go missing July 4-6 than any other time of the year?

Fireworks and festivities can be fun for us, but they can be stressful for our furry friends. Here are some tips to keep your pet safe and calm this year:

1. Play Calming Music: Drown out the fireworks with some soothing tunes🎶

2. Wear them out! Make sure you let your pet get their energy out to allow for a nice long nap or sleep throughout the night 🪢

3. Make sure your pets tag and microchip are all up to date with the correct information in case they go missing🔖

4. Create a Safe Space: Set up a cozy, quiet area for your pet to retreat to filled with their comfort items🥰

4. Keep Them Indoors: Ensure your pet stays inside to avoid any escape attempts. If you’re going out, make sure their leashed up and secured at all times 🦮

6. Use Anxiety Aids: Consider anxiety wraps or calming treats🦴

It's officially Summer in ATX ‼️ 🥵🌞🌡🫠

With air temperature highs this week between 99°F to 102° - that means as the sidewalks soak up the heat, the ground can get up to 60°F (SIXTY!) HOTTER than the air!

Lucky for humans, we have shoes 👟 to protect our feet, which means our walkers are still walking and taking measures to ensure the paws of pups are protected.

You may see us...
🐾 Checking the ground surface temperature using the 7-second hand rule
🐾 Walking in natural earth like grass or dirt
🐾 Avoiding fake grass or turf in direct sunlight - the material gets crazy hot!
🐾 Taking lots of water breaks
🐾 Adventuring in pet-friendly stores.. and of course, chauffeuring pomchi queen Britney to her favorite walk spots in her own personalized luxury ride. 💅🏻✨️

With SJW adventures, dreadful Mondays don’t exist because it means both pup and their walker get to start the week with a wagging tail and a happy, filling adventure around 🐾 Sign your pup up and they’ll be jumping for joy (or smiling, or posing in their shades, or sticking their tongue out 😛)

HOTdawgs 🌭 coming in HOT for we**ie Wednesday 👏🏼

Feature #1 - Tallulah, known for being OBSESSED with her dad & making us carry her far enough away so that her potties can be done 🫶🏼 The princess can be spotted at with her hairdresser dad!

Feature #2 - Giuseppe, also known as G, Guisep, G-Man, and Mister Man. Giuseppe has endless amounts of energy and quite literally, bounces from wall to wall. While he’s a special one, we always like to remind him, “you are enough” 🤪

Feature #3 - MARIOOOooOoOo. Mario can be seen making frequent pit stops into & , otherwise a seamless, brisk walk is out of the question. Mario keeps us on our toes at all times 😜

Feature #4 - Pickles 🥒 (they need to make a pickle emoji).
Pickles is the mayor of downtown Austin and CWO (Chief We**ie Officer) of the Independent . He always has something to say, & when Pickles barks, all the pups listen 🐶
