Well if you don’t know yaksha, meet yaksha. She may have a crush on Chase. During his lesson she insisted on being his trainer. Chase cowboyed the buck up and handled it like a pro. He earned that shirt! I’m so proud of Chase. Horses are prey and pigs are predators. Sometimes instincts kick in and no one wants to be friends. We get it. Yaksha is like living with a T Rex. After the nerves settled , this cowboy got back on and completed his lesson. With a smile. Chase is all pshhhhhh been through worst. Giddy up !

Being a cowboy is in Chases’s blood. He successfully completed his first obstacle course on lesson two! If you can ride at BUCKIN A, you can ride anywhere! Chase we are all so buckin proud of you!

Declaire sent an update on Yama. This blind beast got some changes made to his diet. He is so high maintenance. And now, looking fabulous . Declaire and Yama go on many adventures and are such a great team! Proud of you two!

Spring break 2025! Started our ride in one direction, then realized a neighbor was having a barbecue and well we had a pig with us. She invites herself everywhere…..as you can see. So aborted that mission to go another direction. Here’s all the pics I got, including me and my phone coming off my horse into Beaver Creek. Freya decided it was swimming weather. It is not. Everyone got a show today. And Amber a bath. 🤦‍♀️ Ride horses they said. It will be fun they said. What did we learn today? IPhones are water proof. And horses are as****es.

What did we learn yesterday? Out of all four of us, me included, Lyla is the one who can work a microwave. Lol Homeschool for the win! Lol Lyla, Victoria, and Kaydance kicking ass!

Dr. Z Phillips visits us about once a month and he always has an audience. It’s such a learning experience. Donnegan is now a gelding!!!!! And so far we are kicking much less. Win!!!!!

Did yall know for the cost of a bucket of Fireball you can spay or neuter your pets? True story. Ava has an amazing spay and neuter program with vouchers to assist in costs. Did you know rescues and shelters were not designed to clean up your messes? They were designed to assist in emergencies and health related cases. We are all full and maxed out. It truly breaks our hearts when we have to turn those in need away. I am flooded daily with messages to take in and help. I’m begging anyone who has the resources to take in another dog or two, please do. Some shelters are even offering foster programs to help with the cost of care if finances are an issue. We offer no cost training to help with the transitions. We are judged by how we treat the innocent. Do better. This guy was brought in last night. Found in a field. With over 300 ticks and wouldn’t have made it one more day. He is infested with parasites and in puppy ICU. Due to the fires and weather this is an emergency case and we are hoping he can recover. We are currently at 15 dogs here. Animal neglect and abuse needs to be a felony. We need laws changed and people held accountable. Stop accident breeding. Stop dumping. Stop chaining. Stop neglect. Trust me, when Jesus comes back…..he ain’t gonna be happy. Take better care of his creations. Thank you to all those that are trying to give these animals a better life and doing your part.

Super big thank you to Jeremiah with White River. With all the chaos from the fires he was able to get here fast to remove this tree off the power lines. We love ya and appreciate your dedication and hard work!!!!!!
