I’ve had a few messages asking for does and the only one available is in the Nationals auction. Sorry guys it wasn’t a great breeding season for me.

I’ll have a jr blue tort buck available at Nationals. He is out of Southern Spice’s Grizzly(16th Top Lop 2023) and Happy Hill’s Jaunty. He will have a for sale tag on his coop. If interested let me know and you can take a look at him.

In this hobby, to me, it’s all about improving. We all enjoy winning but it’s so important that I’m constantly competing with myself to breed better and better rabbits. I still have such a long way to go but the Hollands I bred that first year are a far cry from what I’m producing now. I can also see this by looking at my sweepstake points and challenging myself to do better. My first year showing, 2021, I didn’t make the Top 10 in my zone or even the Top 100 nationwide. Year 2, 2022, I was 5th in my zone and 37th nationwide. This year, year 3, 2023 I’m 2nd in my zone, 15th nationwide, also I’m 14 in quality points nationwide and 2nd in quality points for my zone. I also had two rabbits on the top lop list. Southern Spice’s Sinclair at 14 and Southern Spice’s Grizzly at 16. I know there will be some years that I won’t improve at all but as long as I keep trying, I’m proud of what I’ve done! Congratulations to all my amazing fellow breeders and friends on their placements. ❤️🐰🌶

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo was AMAZING!! Plan on going back next year and staying a few days! Show A Southern Spice’s Marie Laveau brought home BOB and in show B Southern Spice’s Micro got the BOB win and Southern Spice’s Marie Laveau got BOSB. My normal partner in crime couldn’t make the trip with me so my awesome hubby took me! It was a nice little getaway for us! I really enjoyed every minute of it! ❤️🐰🌶

I’ve mailed off my application and would like to announce I’ll be running for HLRSC Zone 6 Director!!! Thanks to everyone who signed my application this weekend. I would also like to thank our current zone 6 director Stacy Hyatt for all her hard work over the years and for her support of me running. I haven’t been a breeder as long as some but I jumped into this with all my heart. I’ve fallen completely in love with this breed, this hobby and all the amazing friends I’ve met and made. If elected I would like to be the voice for all of our wonderful breeders/exhibitors in zone 6. My goal is to welcome new members, support our existing members, and to improve this breed we all love. Although I’m sure this is a long way off but my dream is to bring Holland Lop Nationals to Zone 6. Thanks so much to everyone who supported and encouraged me to do this and I look forward to seeing everyone at Nationals in Texas!!!

Amazing weekend in West Monroe! Cody’s Rosie took him BOB in Show A, my tiny BJB Southern Spice’s Micro took home a BOV, and our super young Jrs had a lot of top 5 placements. We brought home a beautiful new doe from Spruce Hill’s Rabbitry. Congratulations to our friends on their wins and placements! ❤️🐰🌶

We had a wonderful weekend in Rayne, LA at the ARC Hop into the New Year Show! Southern Spice’s Darla received a BOB and then went on to get BEST IN SHOW!!!! Southern Spice’s Grizzly got a BOSB as well at Cody’s Rosie getting a BOSB! ❤️🐰🌶

Great day at the Sugarcane Festival Rabbit show! Amelia brought Ko and he took home BOB and Reserve in Show!! Our Big Poppa of the barn doesn’t get out much anymore and we are so proud of him. Big thanks to our judges Dr Lee Engel and Alex Meche. 4-H is such a wonderful thing for kids and we always appreciate all the support. ❤️🐰🍀🌶

Even though it’s just for Jan-April ‘23 I’m so crazy proud that my 2 babies are on the HLRSC Top Lop list at #4 Southern Spice Sincalir and #5 Southern Spice’s Grizzly. Really excited that I’m #9 in overall points and #1 in my zone! It’s crazy to think in 2021 I didn’t even make the top 100!!! Huge congratulations to my beautiful friends on their placement on the list! ❤️🐰🌶
