Your Dog’s Best Friend is looking to hire the right staff member to join our team and will start training as soon as we can. Hours fluctuate throughout the year, but they are typically there to grab, as we are busy most of the year. We are looking at around 20 +/- hours per week with options for covering shifts when needed.
We are looking for a team member that is flexible with their schedule. We need weekend shifts filled and some evening shifts for late let out (8 pm), along with splitting holidays with all of the teams’ members. There is very little to no weekday help needed, we have plenty of that, so please with interest, understand that it is the weekends mainly.
Experience is suggested but not required. We have a very strict process that we follow, ensuring that we are all on the same page, with each let out. Must be able to follow directions, and pay CLOSE attention to detail, because after all, we are babysitting other people’s fur babies when they are away.
This is a very rewarding & difficult job at the same time. It is not just playing with dogs, although there is plenty of that with walks & playtimes as well. If interested, please stop into Your Dog’s Best Friend (1156 N 800 E in Avilla) & fill out an application. We will get ahold of you as soon as we can & try to get you in for an interview.

We have a lot of customers with upcoming appointments (espeically over the holidays) that we are needing updated vaccination records for. Please make sure your pets are up to date and if possible get the records sent to us ahead of time to make for a smoother drop off.
