Kitty Kondo: the spot for your feline to relax, soak up the sun, and have a comfortable, enjoyable stay while you are away.

These two story kondos allow space for your feline to move around, with a private litter area, and picture windows for viewing and entertainment. This wing of the hotel is completely separate from the canine wing to allow for a peaceful stay, away from the chit chat and hustle and bustle of the canine guests. We offer play time for your feline with an indoor cat climbing tree and toys.

Helpful Hints: Fall Dangers and Your Dog

Ready or not, fall is approaching. The white pants are put away, the trips to the beach come to a halt, the kids are back in school, and cinnamon spice candles and fall decorations cover the house! Personally, I just love this time of year and the start of the holiday season. With all the allure and beauty of the season, unfortunately, there are some common pet emergencies that I see at my animal hospital. I wanted to take a moment to prepare everyone for common fall pet dangers.

Football parties and food

It's officially football season, and everyone loves hosting the game. Unfortunately, I see a lot of upset stomachs during the fall because of table scraps and dangerous foods that guests give pets.

Dogs and cats are used to eating the same food every day. Their gastrointestinal tracts develop natural flora (or bacteria) that specifically digest their regular food. When dogs eat something that they are unaccustomed to, such as nachos and chicken wings, they can develop severe inflammation, vomiting and diarrhea. It can also lead to more serious conditions such as pancreatitis.

In addition to foreign foods, some foods in large quantities are toxic to our pets, such as grapes, onions, garlic and raisins. Some foods can present a risk for choking, such as:

Corn on the cob
Fruits with pits
Foods with bones
Toothpicks or skewers

I have surgically removed all of these items, which can be very costly and stressful. Make sure to talk to your guests, especially kids, before parties and remind them not to feed your dogs any food. You want to enjoy the party too, not spend it looking after a pet with an upset stomach.

“Tis the Season,” the season for hurricanes. We hope and pray that these terrible storms stay far away, but we also want to be prepared. We share different Pet Preparation tips for you throughout hurricane season.

We would also like to share our Policies and Procedures as part of our communication and preparation for us all. Please review these policies and procedures now and again if a storm is on the horizon. We want you, your pets, and our team to be prepared, be safe, and to be ready.

Just Like Home Pet Hotel’s Hurricane Season 2024 Policies & Procedures
1. Upon making a reservation due to an impending storm, a valid credit card on file will be required. The card on file will be charged for the entire stay prior to check out.

2. All guests must provide paperwork from veterinarian showing current vaccinations and f***l analysis required for boarding; even in an emergency situation a storm presents.

3. Due to the inclement weather during a storm, there will be no “ play times or extras” keeping our guests and team safe. Our standard of care and cleanliness will be top priority for our team.

4. Storm reservations will be first come, first serve until we reach capacity limit.

5. Our fees remain the same and are not increased during the inclement weather.

6. A generator is onsite in case we lose power.

7. Post Storm - We will open our doors for check out as soon as it is safe to do so for both our team and our guests.

a. We ask that you please be understanding and patient with our leader team as we make the decision to resume regular business hours. Our team will share updates on opening hours as they become available on our page and we will be them on the front doors.

Thank you again for reading through our policies and procedures. We ask you to please be prepared for a hurricane ahead of time so that you and your pets are safe.
