This morning, PPD had the opportunity to do a live segment on Fox 59 with Angela Ganote. Last month Plainfield officers responded to a stabbing in which a male perpetrator stabbed a woman he lived with and her dog. The dog, Gunner, received the worst of the injuries being stabbed in the head area multiple times. Officer Rob Prichard, having a love for dogs and knowing that the victim may not be able to afford the vet medical bills, started a Go Fund Me to assist in Gunner's medical rehabilitation. That fund has raised $6,200 and has exceeded the need so far. The female victim reached out to Fox 59 who wanted to highlight the great work one of our officers does beyond the badge, behind the scenes. Gunner continues to improve and is on a path to almost a full recovery. He has lost some function permanently in one eye. Here is the link to the story.
