Shelly is a petite tiger-and-white female cat who was at an overcrowded, high-kill shelter with her kittens. They came to Misty Eyes with other orphan kittens to find their forever homes. After caring for her kittens, Shelly will be spayed and ready to start her new life.

It’s Tongue Out Tuesday and our girl Piggy is showing hers off in a very polite way. He is in the Christmas spirit hoping to find a fur-ever home this holiday season.

Piggy is a one-year-old very cute male Schnauzer-mix who weighs around 27 lb. He has lived with children, other dogs and cats and has done well with all of them.

He's initially a little shy, but once he feels comfortable, he's friendly and affectionate. He enjoys toys, nylabones and other chewies, and has decent potty habits.

Because he has a history of bladder crystals, Piggy does require a prescription diet. It is assumed that will be a life-long requirement. Piggy has amazing agility and jump quite high. For that reason, he will probably need a fence taller than 4 ft., or will need to be leash-walked.

Are you looking to add a dynamic duo to your home this holiday season? We have a couple that has been looking for a second chance to have a fur-ever home. Meet Bonnie and Clyde. 🎄🎅🏼🐈🐈

Bonnie is a 6-year-old buff-and-white female kitty and Clyde is a 6-year-old orange-and-white male kitty. They were surrendered to Misty Eyes by their original owner because of post-Covid allergies.

They were quickly adopted together, but, sadly, their owner passed away, and the family could not keep them. It has been a sad and confusing couple of years for these lovely cats. Bonnie remains rather shy, although she does enjoy sleeping and cuddling with her foster mom. She will need some time to feel that she's safe and secure once again. Clyde is a friendly, outgoing kitty, and he does enjoy sleeping and cuddling with his foster mom.

Do you love Christmas, well we may have just found you a pup that truly has the Christmas. Nugget here sure loves Santa 🎅🏼 trees 🎄lights and everything Christmas. He is looking for a fur-ever home. Is yours the perfect holiday home for Nugget?

Nugget is a cute little male Mini-Aussie/Jack Russell Terrier Mix who was surrendered with his 3 littermates and dad by a puppy mill breeder to a very overcrowded high-kill shelter. These puppies and their father were at risk, so Misty Eyes brought them into our foster care program.

They are each in a foster home, and little Nugget is learning how to be an indoor dog with good house manners. He is currently 3 months old, so he has a lot of learning to do! Parker wanted us to share with everyone that he’s been a super good boy this year. How good? He got to meet Santa last weekend! He knows he shouldn’t tell, but he asked Santa for a fur-ever home for Christmas. Can anyone help him? 🎅🏼 🌲

Parker and his Australian Shepherd mix siblings were surrendered to an overcrowded shelter. Parker is now 4 months old and is a typical puppy -- playful, fun and mischievous. He is doing well learning his house manners and is a very sweet, loving puppy.

This Whiskers Wednesday we have a guy who is looking for some humans to love! Meet Kenny!

Kenny was found as a stray and was never claimed by an owner. He is estimated to be a year old and is strikingly handsome! He is loving with people, but not appreciative of the other male kitties in his foster home.

He is a bigger boy at 11 lbs. Kenny loves getting affection from his people and is a cuddler. He has good litterbox manners, but can be a little boisterous at times with the litter.

For this Tongue Out Tuesday, we thought we would give you an update on a familiar face. Remember our girl Penny who was saved from a puppy mill? Here is how she’s currently doing!

Our Precious Penny is doing remarkably well after her three surgeries. Her ears have healed -- and she can still hear to some degree -- her abdominal surgery has healed, and she is a happy little dog.

She loves to run zoomies, play with little dog toys and chew on nylabones. Her little stub of a tail now works normally, and she wags it quite often. She enjoys people, being picked up, held and cuddled. When she's relaxed, her tongue sticks out, and it's adorable.

Within the next couple of weeks, Penny will be ready to find her forever home. She is a special girl and will need a home in which she can continue to learn about being a cherished family member.

We'd like to thank MedVet Indianapolis and Dr. Rebecca Essig and staff for taking such great care of this sweet little dog and helping her to become the lively, affectionate, sweet companion she was meant to be.
