IEA REGIONALS! HUGE congrats to our Zone qualifier, Scout Hahn 🏆 She rode Bart to a 1st place finish in the Individual Novice Flat which moves her on to Zones. Such an amazing accomplishment!
I’m also SO proud of my teams. We were a first year team and to have 6 Individual qualifiers plus our High school team qualify for regionals was beyond my expectations! We also had two riders get recognized for being the season high point riders for the region.. Quinn R in Intermediate Flat and Hannah O in Future Beginner Walk/Trot (with a perfect score!)
And for the second show this year our perfect pony Ben was Horse of the day for the afternoon section. I’m so proud of how well our horses handled being IEA ponies this year 🥰
Good luck to Scout at Zones!!!

First Sea Island Show of the year in the books ✅ so excited to have some new horses and riders join us. For some it was their first horse show ever, or maybe a new horse pairing, and for some a new division/jump height! Everyone did so great and we had lots of fun! Plus you can’t beat a 70° horse show day in early Feb 😍

Boyd Martin Clinic 2025 ⭐️
Wow what a great weekend! I’ve had the privilege of riding with Boyd a couple times and the first time I went, I will admit being from the hunter jumper world I was a little worried… But horses are horses, good instruction is priceless, and technical, tricky courses are wonderful to push both horse and rider to ride better and feel accomplished in the end.
Boyd does such a great job putting the pieces together and that is why I was so excited to help bring him to the Charleston area for the first time! We are not a huge eventing community but the demand was incredible which tells me we are such a strong HORSE community. I think every single rider AND auditor (hunter, jumper, eventer, dressage, pleasure, etc) can leave the weekend feeling inspired with an even better appreciation for our horse partners.
All the credit for the behind the scenes work for this clinic goes to my mom. It was a beast of its own these last few weeks! All the credit for the man power setting the course on Thursday obviously goes to Millie 🐶

Thanks Boyd for making the trip!!! We all had a blast!!!

Stableview In & Out January show was a blast 🐎
Korban was the only horse in the group that had been to this venue before but all the horses settled right in!

A couple highlights…
Quinn/Kiwi & Hannah/Buoy competed in the 2’6” derby. It was Buoy’s first derby and he had some lovely jumps but a scary golf cart outside the ring kept him out of the ribbons 🤪 Kiwi ended up 9th (silly trot jump) Both pairs also had some amazing trips in the 2’6” taking home some blue ribbons!

Taylor/Charlotte had their best show EVER- clear all weekend, rode smart, and it paid off with a 6th place in a super competitive .80m classic.

Shiloh & Scout/Huck took on a new venue and Huck tried his very hardest to be brave! The 30 mph wind gusts made Saturday a little exciting but he came with a fresh attitude on Sunday and had some great trips.

Shannon/Cam tackled the .75/.80s and looked like a million bucks. They both gained valuable experience in a bigger setting with some technical and legit courses!

And my superstar Korban rocked around the 1m taking home the win in the classic 🥰 I have been focusing mainly on dressage and decided last minute to take him and he made sure to remind me as often as he could that jumping is still his favorite!

Almost forgot to post pictures from our Christmas Party 🎄🎅🏼 SO impressed with the stall decorating contest. It was so fun to celebrate the end of a great year with everyone 🥰 I have the best barn group and can’t wait to see where 2025 takes us!!

JUST DO IT ✔️ was our motto for the weekend.. And yes they did! Taylor & Charlotte had some incredible AHA moments in the show ring. Kate & Annie conquered this venue and made huge steps forward. And Hannah & Buoy stepped up to the 2’6” for the first time and blew me away! Winning the hack both days, getting the strides, and making huge progress with lead changes. The highlight of the weekend was all 3 taking on the MAP Equitation class and they all looked great. Even got our jumper girl Taylor in some tan pants and a hairnet 🤪

What a great first outing of the 2025 season. Can’t wait for the next one!

I haven’t even made my IEA team instagram official yet! Team TPE has had a great year so far.. Both the middle school & high school teams have competed in 3 shows so far and each time we have gotten better and better. Last weekend on Sunday my high school team was Reserve Champion and the middle school team was 3rd place! Our region is pretty competitive and to have a smaller 1st year team doing so well has been such a fun experience 🤩 Big congrats to Quinn & Hannah O who have already qualified for regionals!

Congrats to ALL my riders. It was a year with a lot of changes.. new people, new divisions, etc. While the ribbons are a cherry on top, being a small part of the personal goals and achievements of each horse and rider is the best part of my job! 🐎🏆 Here’s to 2025!!

Team TPE showed up strong to the last Sea Island show of the year! Great riding and horses on their best behavior plus a huge cheering squad made for a great day! We had riders showing for the first time (above Leadline), getting back in the ring after some time off, rebuilding confidence, and even just some fun point chasing! Thanks SISS for providing the perfect environment for all of it 🐎

Finally getting around to posting more pics from Tryon! I am still SO proud of this crew. For many of them it was the biggest show and biggest classes they have shown in. Each ribbon was EARNED and a true testament of all their hard work. I loved the mixture of competing in these big serious classes then unwinding by decorating the stalls or watching a night derby laughing together. So many great memories made 💖

We survived the heat and enjoyed our weekend at Stableview! I have been eyeing this venue for a while now so I’m glad we got to change things up! The footing was great and the amenities were 👌🏼. The heat was rough but not much you can do about that in the middle of the summer.. Saturday was a pretty good day for both horses but on Sunday Kate & Annie laid down some of their best trips and Korban was clear in the 1.05m and jumped like a freak 🤩 Proud of them both!

Late post!! A couple weekends ago we took a little group of ottbs to the New Vocations Thoroughbred Charity Show. Korban stole the show winning every class I entered him in 💙 clear all weekend including being the only double clear in the Jumper Stake. We also decided to go rouge and enter some dressage classes and he blew me away!

🔸Scout and Huck had some of their best trips to date on Saturday walking away as Reserve Champions of the 2’6”.
🔸Quinn and Kiwi tackled the hunter ring on Saturday which Kiwi was a little confused about but Quinn rode great. They also laid down a lovely Eq trip on Sunday.
🔸Ava and Kiwi did the combined test on Friday and came in 5th.

This show was super fun with lots of attention to detail like the exhibitor swag bags and party, great ribbons and prizes, and everybody was so friendly and encouraging!

I will always love a good thoroughbred 🐎
