benefits for all. Our farm is nestled on 63 acres in Southwestern Virginia
between Martinsville and Danville. We have a large 14 stall barn
with a heated wash stall including hot and cold water, smaller 4
stall barn large outdoor ring 150 X 200, indoor arena with
viewing room and a secure tack room

Yesterday was a very unusual show day. All the horses were a bit squirrelly but the girls rode them well to some good rounds. Very proud 😊

Solid finish to our showing weekend. Good ribbons and courses by Moneus and Pie along with Meredith and Ariel especially Chey and Oakley earning Champion in their division.

ISO: Live in caretaker for small horse property, 17 stalls, in Axton, Virginia. Must be responsible, mature and with a good horse knowledge. Ideal opportunity for someone looking to slow down. Quiet property with boarders and a small lesson program. . Live in a quiet, pretty place, surrounded by horses and enjoy an easy going pace. Chores are six days a week which include by not limited to feeding of horses 2X daily, minor wound care along with medicating as needed, help farrier and vet, barn maintenance, stalls though the horses live out except when the weather is horrendous, and property stewardship. In exchange for a furnished 3 bedroom 2 bath mobile home with utilities included and a modest stipend. Must be able to lift 50lbs, teach beginner lessons (4 max), able to ride greenies either in Hunter or Dressage plus give horses a good in-hand foundation when we have horses available with opportunity to earn percentage from net sale price. Sounds like a lot but seriously not plus we have a couple of barn rats. An approved pet is fine with the possibility of board for one horse. First time showing here and we had a blast! Great rides for Mia and Ariel, Sarah and Bernie were so good especially since it was his first show, Hannah and Oakley were so technical beyond ready to move up. Fabulous job ladies!!

Great Clinic weekend with Heather Squires Riggins. The girls rode very strongly which made me very proud. The horses were both good and showed their warts. Heather was very insightful enabling all to be better.

Great show today! Glad to be home and in the AC though. Haden’s first show and she met the challenge. Sarah and Pie over 2’3 they had some greenie moments but some true brilliance too. Oakley and Moneus got their first Champion in the Low Hunters!!!

Solid day for my riders at TTC. A first for Mia over 2’ and she made it to the jump off each ride. Hadley took Ariel into the jumpers for the first time and was very successful. Hannah and Oakley were very relaxed and confident, moving along beautifully. More great shows to come.

Such a good day!! Scotlyn did a great job and ended up with a 1st & 2nd in her classes. Micaela an Finn were lovely in their tests and come a long way. Molly rode well dealing with a very strong Preacher. Peanut has finally started giving at the trot, so Yay!

Great day of lessons today. Improvements by everyone! Waylon solidified Hattie’s seat over fences, MJ and Betty really came together boldly, Chey and Hattie back up to 3’ courses, Mia cantered in lovely position and jumped nicely in form, Molly added some height and effective half halts and Hannah jumped her first 2’6-2’9 course with landing effortlessly on her correct leads.

This was Hannah's first real course to jump at a show. An Equitation course to boot and she did a lovely job.

I preparation for the warm up ring in the upcoming show season our horse management for the weekend is the “cut off” game. We learn to keep our space and pace while simulating the chaos of the warm up ring.
