RIP Zeb. You will always be the “Mule” in Mule Creek Farm.

I would like to ask everyone for their thoughts and prayers for my family. Old Zeb is crossing the rainbow bridge later this morning. Looking back we purchased him as a yearling in 1989. By my best guess, Zeb is around 35 years old.

If you were showing long ears in the southeast in the early to mid 90s you would have known who Zeb was. Occasionally we would take Zeb to local open horse shows to compete and if you had a judge with an open mind, Zeb was competitive against horses. We have won several blue ribbons to the dismay of a lot horse owners LOL.

Once we placed a first in an open western pleasure class in Tarboro NC. After the class, I saw several horse women cry and we heard one women say, “I just spent all this money on this horse to be beaten by a mule.” The poor judge had to leave the show grounds in a hurry and we did too! It’s one of those memories that you will never forget. Zeb we love you and you will be sorely missed.
