Recently, we had the privilege of treating Banks, a 5-year-old Labrador Mix. After the successful removal of two masses, we worked with veterinary experts to create a personalized vaccine using his own tissue samples. This cutting-edge approach aims to stimulate an immune response against his specific cancer, potentially preventing the growth of new tumors.

Banks is the first of many to use this groundbreaking treatment plan at Welcome Waggin. We extend our heartfelt wishes for success to Banks and his family as they embark on this pioneering journey!

Due to a recurrent problem with Chewy Rx errors, we are switching our online pharmacy. If you still choose to use Chewy, we are happy to give you a written Rx that you can use with them, but online prescriptions will now be sent to the new pharmacy listed below. Thank you for your understanding.

This fellow stopped in to see us yesterday. Outer Banks Wildlife Shelter arranged to help immediately when we reached out to them. They do great work!

Yesterday was a busy day for our staff and transporters. We got a call from Welcome Waggin' Animal Hospital about this Great Horned Owl that was found stuck in the grill of someone’s car. Luckily it has no broken bones.

Other calls came in about a pelican and a few loons. Thank you Carla and Nate for helping with those calls and pick ups. We have a steady group of transporters that help when we get calls but we are always looking for help. These animals can’t bring themselves in for help and need a way.
We couldn’t do this without such a wonderful community.

We are in desperate need of towels and small blankets (like baby blankets or very small throws) for the clinic. These are used to make kennels more comfortable, to keep pets warm, for drying after baths, etc. Any donations would be appreciated. Used or even stained ones are fine, just no large holes a pet could get snagged in.

It seems that there has been some confusion about voting. I'm unable to count the votes made in the non-voting posts because I have no way of knowing if a like or a heart on those pages were meant as votes.

In honor of Halloween and our two year anniversary, Welcome Waggin' Animal Hospital is having a photo contest! Respond with your silliest pet pictures. These can be anything from pets being mischievous to pets in their best Halloween costumes. We will award prize baskets to the owners of the pictures that receive the most votes at the end of the competition.
