Walnut Ridge Kennels is family-owned/operated boarding kennel, nestled in a quiet country setting in Huron County, Michigan. Located outside the city of Bad Axe in the "heart" of the Thumb, we have been in existence since 1999. After expanding yet again, we now have the capacity to house 60 dogs. We have spacious 4'x8' chain link runs inside for larger dogs and 3'x6' runs for the smaller dogs. For

the optimal comfort of our guests, the building is climate controlled. Soft music is played throughout the day and night, having a calming effect on the dogs. Outside we have 2 large fenced areas where the dogs are able to exercise and play several times a day. You may bring toys, blankets, treats, etc for your poochie to have during their stay with us. Dogs must be up to date on 3 vaccinations at least one week prior to boarding: bordetella, rabies and distemper. Give us a call if you have any questions or want to schedule! As most of us have seen, the weather is going to get nasty cold. PLEASE make sure your outside animals have proper shelter, lots of straw, extra food since they burn calories to stay warm, fresh, not frozen water. If possible please bring your cats/dogs etc inside. Set up an area in a garage, back porch, extra bedroom, etc...
Times are tuff right now. If you are in need of straw but are unable to finacially purchase some PLEASE call Chris to work on getting you some 989-550-8236

4) ELKTON- east of town M142 between Hartsell/Krohn & Moore Roads
5) ELKTON MI- please call 989-963-0147 for pick up or DELIVERY
6) CARO MI- Watrousville Market, corner or M81 & Ringle Roads.
7) Szcygiels Plant Farm south of Caro on M24.

This group of 5 puppies were brought to us by their owner/breeder. They are all looking for their forever homes. There are 3 females and two males. they are active pups. They love to go outside in the backyard and play, and boy do they play! After playing, they are all ready to come in, curl up, and have a little nap time. The puppies were raised in the home and have been socialized.
They have been wormed and have had their first puppy shots.

Sky is ready to start the next chapter in her life. Since she arrived too the shelter she was taken to the vet for her spay. She was tested for heartworm. Happy to report that test came back negative. She was updated on her vaccinations.
