As I have stepped back from grooming, I am reminded WHY I am taking the steps I am taking. This big boy won my heart a long time ago. (No he is not the only one.) He was over due for grooming and I am glad I only booked ONE vs my normal several! The last 15 minutes of finishing him my hand went numb. In that moment I stopped, smiled and was re assured ,YES my growing pains of transition are worth what’s to come! The perfect opportunity of owning and running a grooming business is awaiting you. As I step away from Off the Tracks Grooming and only taking rare appointments I wanted to give a shout out to these amazing apprentices of mine! In 2021 I chose to take these gals on. Knowing the high grooming demand and my path switching direction, I felt this was what I was able to do. Instruction of SAFTEY and gentle handling with our beloved 4 legged fur balls. These gals have both gone above and beyond what I was able to show them. We each have our own gifts. I am so joyful to have helped these girls make dreams come true.

Besides a rare weekend here and there and an occasional evening OTTG is closed. I can not thank my dear clients enough for their support and understanding as I walk the yellow brick road I need to be on right now. For my kids, family, farm and mostly myself. To say this step was hard is an understatement! As I walk this step becomes easier and more clear I am where I need to be. I would NEVER be where I am or who I am without the love, support and CONNECTION I have gotten from my clients. From following me from Gonvick to Bemidji, Leonard to Gonvick (yes again) and then to our farm in Shevlin, THANK YOU! Until we meet again 🐶🩵

Dear Clients~

As the year comes to an end and another begins, I wanted to share my grooming career looking back and looking forward.
I started my first grooming business “Paw Paw Patch'' at just 20 years old in my small hometown of Battle Lake. It was 2005. My business was booming and I learned A LOT about being a small business. I was and still am so grateful for those who helped me start my first business.
In 2007 I followed my heart north. Always loving northern Minnesota I found another love to share my heart with. My husband. (2009 Married)
While grooming at the Vet Clinic in Gonvick and a couple places in Bemidji, I knew as we were about to start a family I wanted to set up shop at home. So that's just what I did. Off The Tracks Grooming started in 2012 as we welcomed our first born son into the world. It wasn’t long after I was building a clientele in the little town of Leonard MN.
Clients coming from all over. My 3 day a week grooming goal turned into 4-5 and some weeks 6 DAYS of grooming!!!
In 2014 we welcomed our 2nd son and life continued to get busier. As my grooming business continued to grow I got a helping hand and also moved the business out of home. Expanding was great while it lasted. Juggling life and commuting wasn't too much of an issue until we moved.
A door opened for my family! A door we only dreamt of. WE BOUGHT A FARM! A beautiful farm. A farm with the ability to move business home again. It was not what either my husband or I wanted to do but with the financial responsibility of buying more land we figured it was the best choice. Little did we know shortly after a pandemic would hit. I lost my employee and decided instead of expanding I really wanted to just “FIND MY BALANCE”. As my body was starting to struggle, my mind and soul also having a hard time keeping up, I needed to find another path. A path that was easier on me as a whole!
I continued to truck on as many of you know this is who I am. I am beyond grateful for the clientele you all are to me! The loyalty and grace I get back from you is what has helped shape me into the person I am and have the business I have.
As I continue to find my balance, another door has opened for me. I have found my next path! I am studying to be an equine gestaltist. I am in a 2 year certification program which allows me to partner with my horses and help others feel WHOLE.
I can’t deny part of my purpose is having a way with animals and knowing animals also have a way with us. I am so blessed to get to work with animals on a daily basis. I am looking forward to sharing this methodology with you as an addition to my current business.
Rebranding to come.. for now in my heart I knew I had to share my excitement with you. The clientele who has supported me for the last TEN YEARS!!! From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!

Alright folks I will be going down to grooming only 3 days a week starting in November/December (TRIAL)
This was my goal from the get go. As I have a family and farm to take care of and can only do so much…
I apologize in advance to whom I will not be able to fit in to this new schedule. I have 2 apprentices who have /will have their own grooming businesses going.

When I opened up shop in 2013 at home in Leonard my goal was to be busy 3 days a week. Perfect I thought. A great opportunity to make a living while raising a family at the same time. As many of you know it wasn't long before I went from grooming 3 days a week to 5-6 days a week. (Could be 7) I COMPLETELY forgot my goal of only grooming 3 days a week so I could also care for my family. (At a less stressed and more peacful state.) I have gained so many wonderful clients. I appreciate how good you are to me and how understanding you have always been! I know you will understand my decision of finally meeting my goal of GROOMING 3 DAYS A WEEK! Most if not all of you regular clients are on my schecule as you keep a standing appointment. (I appreciate that.) I hope everyone has a peacful end of 2021 and a great start to 2022! Remember everyday is a new day and we can only live one day at a time . THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!
