We got a wonderful update from Grant VanElsberg - owner of "Grizz" a 2023 pup by Scout x Henry.
Here is a little of what he has to say about Grizz...
Since the day we got him he has been an amazing addition to our family. He is such a kind and gentle soul around everyone and just loves any attention anyone can give him. We have many friends and family members with young children and I couldn’t begin to tell you how many compliments we have gotten on how gentle and well behaved he is with them. Our daughter was also born last January and they are always together playing on the floor. Adaline just lights up when she sees him.
Anywhere I go, he follows me immediately and always stays within sight even on adventures. He has taken very well to the training we have done so far as well. My priority was him being well-rounded and gentle for the family, so I didn’t push the hunt training too much outside of the basics for the first year based on some books I read.
His favorite things are definitely being outside doing anything with me. Training, hunting, being in the boat or fish house, or just wandering around the woods looking for smells are all things he’s all about. The only things I think we’ve found that he doesn’t like is the vacuum and getting his teeth brushed. He’s really just a gentle, happy-go-lucky pup that we feel very blessed to have be a member of our family.
