Happy Hooves Sanctuary

Happy Hooves Sanctuary We help animals that have been starved, mistreated, or owner-surrendered. We want to create a special place where people can connect with the animals.

We rehabilitate them, help them to regain trust, adopt out and allow them to live a happy safe life.

Thank you so much to all who supported Happy Hooves at our Trick-or-Treating event last night! We had so much fun going on cart rides, learning horsemanship, eating a yummy dinner and trick-or-treating between horse stalls! Thanks to your support, we now have another vet billed covered!

A special thank you to all our volunteers who helped make this night happen!

We're so touched by Messi's love for Michael and the progress, and joy Michael is experiencing when he rides his favorite horse. Thank you for sharing the experience with us at Happy Hooves.

A reminder that the movie night is this Saturday from 5pm to 7:30PM. Come join us for great food, make new friends, and watch "Unicorn Academy" on a big screen with the horses in the barn. This is a fundraising event to care for our rescued horses. Thank you in advance for your support!

This summer has been full of high highs and low lows. The joy of having a farm full of kids during the first five weeks of summer camp has filled our hearts to the brim. Unfortunately, at the same time, we have been experiencing one of the most challenging times for animal care that we have encountered here at the sanctuary.

First, one of our mini ponies suffered from a severe case of colic that required surgery and multiple days of hospitalization. Thankfully, she has been recovering nicely and seems to be just about back to her old silly self.

While she was in the hospital, several of our horses came down with an equine respiratory virus. We had to access emergency vet services several times to control fevers and other symptoms. As things seemed to be calming down a bit, Bella suddenly colicked and required a trip to the emergency vet.

The most heartbreaking moment of the summer was when Raven finally let us know that he was ready to cross the rainbow bridge. On July 31, he had a wonderful morning of snuggles and grazing before he went to run free of pain and have all the treats he can eat. We miss him dearly and are grateful for all he gave to us at the sanctuary.

Needless to say, our vet bills are astronomically more than we could have ever budgeted for. To help, we are planning several fundraising events at the farm that we would love to invite your children to! Please see below for more information.

If you do not have kids to attend the events or are unable to join us, we would be deeply grateful for any small donation you may be able to give. You can learn more about donating on our website here. Anything will help.

We work tirelessly to care for these wonderful animals and are so grateful for all of you for your support over the years!

With Gratitude,
Karen, Sid, Toby, Geoffrey, Melody, Shorty, Bella, Candy, Icey, Thistle, Jewel, Princess, Luka, Skip, Jersey, Dobi, Raven and the many dedicated HH volunteers

We are heartbroken at the sanctuary as today we said goodbye to our sweet Raven as he travelled over the rainbow bridge. A trusted pony with the most gentle heart of gold, he has left a hole in our hearts that will never be filled.šŸŒˆšŸ¦ā€ā¬›šŸ’•

The first ever Halloween at Happy Hooves event was a huge success! We played games, went for cart rides, pet horses, ate delicious food and trick-or-treated from stall to stall! Thanks to all who joined us! Because of all of you, we raised enough money to cover the medical costs to start doing tests to learn more about why our sweet mini, Toby, keeps having episodes of colic. Thank you, Thank you!!
