And that’s a wrap on the 2024 Dahlia Season! We have made our last bouquet for this year and have cut down nearly an acre of Dahlias. We have lots to do to put these tubers to bed for the winter but the work has begun. A huge thank you to all who came to the U-pick this year!

Remembering Akio Suyematsu today on what would have been his 103rd birthday. Many of us are deeply grateful for your influence, you taught us many things, your dedication to keeping agriculture on Bainbridge, and your tireless work ethic is the reason many of us are still farming. You are missed!

DAHLIA DIVIDING CLASS. We have added another dahlia dividing class!! Participants will learn about when and why to dig, how properly store your tubers and clumps, and hands on experience dividing. We provide all tools and dahlia clumps, and everyone gets to go home with tubers‼️

It was a great harvest on the ornamental corn this year! Unwrapping ornamental corn is like unwrapping Christmas presents, it’s one of our favorite tasks!! We still have lots of fun fall decorating decor at the patch.

FEELING GRATEFUL…Thank you all for making the Dahlia season of 2024 at our Manzanita Farm a successful and amazing season! Yesterday was the final day of the season at Manzanita, but we still have lots of Dahlias at the Day Road Pumpkin Patch for u-pick.

We also have our dahlia clump sale coming up on 10/14! We will be selling lots of our popular varieties at fantastic prices. Need some instruction on proper storage and dividing of tubers??? You can sign up for our tuber dividing classes via our website and take home some extra tubers too!

All these beauties will be part of our huge DAHLIA CLUMP SALE. We are moving the U -pick field next year and making room for over a 150 new varieties we grew this year so we are selling our extras. Come to the Manzanita Road farm this week

Happy sunny Sunday farm friends!!! Today marks the last week of u-pick dahlias. We will close the Manzanita farm next Sunday. Our Dahlia Clump sale starts October 14th at the pumpkin patch and if you’d like to see the dahlias that will be available for sale as clumps, head to the Manzanita farm to see them in bloom!
