Working outside has its benefits. The other day we saw 14 Bald Eagles soaring above and then 2 landed in a tree where we were working. Love the PNW!

And that’s a wrap on the 2024 Dahlia Season! We have made our last bouquet for this year and have cut down nearly an acre of Dahlias. We have lots to do to put these tubers to bed for the winter but the work has begun. A huge thank you to all who came to the U-pick this year!

If you’re interested in learning how to store and divide your own dahlia tubers we still have room in our Thursday Evening dividing class 11/7 6pm-8pm at the Manzanita Road Farm. Message us for a link to sign up!

Remembering Akio Suyematsu today on what would have been his 103rd birthday. Many of us are deeply grateful for your influence, you taught us many things, your dedication to keeping agriculture on Bainbridge, and your tireless work ethic is the reason many of us are still farming. You are missed!

DAHLIA DIVIDING CLASS. We have added another dahlia dividing class!! Participants will learn about when and why to dig, how properly store your tubers and clumps, and hands on experience dividing. We provide all tools and dahlia clumps, and everyone gets to go home with tubers‼️

It was a great harvest on the ornamental corn this year! Unwrapping ornamental corn is like unwrapping Christmas presents, it’s one of our favorite tasks!! We still have lots of fun fall decorating decor at the patch.
