2015 was a wash for the most part..............took a year to recover from an injury that left me not able to do alot of stuff. New things in the works...........as soon as it gets a bit cooler the dogs have to get after the birds in the upland fields. We are all needing to get back in shape.........everything is looking good.........great number of turkeys on the property as well as three large coveys of quail and a good many deer, all enjoying what we have provided mostly with the preservation of natures choices of nutrition as it should be. Thanks to Ga. D N R for their reccomendations and guidance. It is paying off. The deer are really enjoying those green leaf briars, and our feed plot offerings, etc.

Food plot time is upon us at S L P. Time to get with it if we can get thru all this rain as of late.............Tractor parts in.......should be up and running in a couple of hours............stay tuned! Huntmaster.

O K Folks............per several requests, I will put on an N R A Basic Pistol Class on Saturday May 9th, 2015 at SLP. Need to get several more commitments and it will happen. Southern Legends Plantation

Spring has sprung at SLP...........plenty of things growing and several hen turkeys on nests in our broom sage in the upland fields. While mowing roads a pleasant sight indeed was a big heavy body mature buck watching me from some cover. What a fine deer indeed. Hope he is taking care of the ladies that hang around here. Saw him once this past year and thought he was gone. Huntmaster reporting!
