HEARTBREAKING UPDATE. Companion Animal Hospital & Boarding Center worked all weekend to get little Peep into a condition where she could safely undergo surgery. But once they were able to sedate her and explore her mouth and jaw it was discovered that her jaw was completely disintegrated and that she likely had advanced bone cancer. There was nothing that could be done - she was too far along for any repair or even relief, so we let her go to heaven (where ALL dogs go).

Thank you all for your donations toward her care. We will certainly put them to use on another needy dog - in all likelihood today or tomorrow. However if you would like your donation refunded, just ask and we will be happy to do so. THANK YOU for your faithful and ongoing support.

UPDATE FRIDAY AFTERNOON. Companion Animal Hospital & Boarding Center is going to keep Peep through the weekend for antibiotic therapy and try to get some nutrition in her. Surgery Monday. I can't wait to see her personality when she isn't in excruciating pain!

OMG, this pooooor pup... We got a 911 emergency call yesterday from one of our shelters begging for help with this precious soul - the owner brought her to the shelter to be euthanized because she couldn't bear to see her in pain and didn't have the funds to do what needed to be done to provide relief. NO JUDGMENT PLEASE!

We immediately raced to the shelter to get Peep (side note, isn't that the cutest name?) and oh dear lord, the SMELL... her mouth is so severely infected, the smell makes your eyes water. God bless our transporter who spent more than an hour in the car with her getting her to safety.

Our clinic vet gave Peep some heavy duty pain medication to keep her comfortable until she can get to Companion Animal Hospital & Boarding Center first thing this morning for intensive antibiotic therapy and surgery Monday.

Dental surgery for a situation this bad won't be easy and we are expecting the cost to be... well... a LOT.

We are committed to getting little Peep better as quickly as possible but would truly appreciate any dollars you could contribute toward the cost.

p.s. We will spare you the graphic photos of literal pus dripping out of her mouth from the infection. It's truly awful to see (and smell).

First balls to drop in 2025!!! Turkey came to Saving with Soul Pet Rescue of NW Florida from Andalusia Animal Shelter before finding his forever home! Congrats Turkey on finding your family ❤️ 🐾

Introducing patient #4949 of 2024! Mickey is a 12 year old chihuahua that is part of the Mickey and Minnie bonded pair! He was a surrender after their owner couldn’t care for them anymore. Mickey and Minnie are still looking for their forever home together but will go with two less “little buddies!”

Meet Elliah! She’s a 3ish year old maltipoo (Maltese poodle mix) or yorkipoo (yorkie poodle mix) or so we think! She was rescued from a horrible situation but is just the sweetest girl you could imagine! She’s great with other dogs, cats and kids! Elliah is doing well with potty training since she was brought to her foster home but still might need some guidance in finishing it out!

Interested in meeting Elliah? She and the rest of her buddies will be at The PUPStop by Saving with Soul Pet Rescue and available for meet and greets tomorrow from 10 am till 6 pm!
