Spooky ghosts at the barn!
Happy Halloween! Watch out for spooky Ghost 👻
Found some “junk” to work Foxy around! Here just a bit of what we did
Meet Willow! She is a beautiful 2 year old mustang Quarter Horse cross. Willow is here to get the right start and become a great riding partner. She’s very smart and lots of fun to train. Obviously, she loves bath time!
Good morning! We are having a great time here at Region XII Arabian Horse Show!!
Good morning! Up and ready to go!
Louis is feeling good this evening! He’s all healed up from being gelded and ready to start training. I just love watching Louis run 🐎
This is Splash bending at the walk. She’s come a long way! She use to pull on the bit and push her ribs into the riders leg. Now she respects your hand and leg cues! Good girl!
Kira has really improved!! The secret to slowing down hot horses, like Kira, is to do a million transitions!! One rein stops, bending transitions, and yield to a stop are the ticket to slow easy canters. If you only run a hot horse, all they want to do is run!
In this video, Kira is showing how lovely a thoroughbred can canter. We found her inner lazy Quarter Horse, people!!!
By the way, in this video is my little sister Morgan is riding Kira after I rode her. Because I had Kira in a hunter saddle, Morgan begged to get on this beautiful mare. Morgan is a competitive hunter rider so she just had to have a go on this hunter type mare!
It also helps horses to have different people ride them. It's just another way to get your horse even quieter under saddle!
Kira is making progress! Today is day 5 of riding and this video is of our second ride of the day. Kira held her trot and didn't try once to canter!! She even stopped to my seat! That's what tons of transitions get you with a hot horse.
Out riding Kid on the trails. He came to me for a two week tune up. He gets nervous on the trail and also has sticky feet. Well it's been a little over a week and Kid has made great progress. I've taken all over the place. Mostly to places I know are scary! Here we are trotting down the road and pass over some black plastic.
P.s. No more sticky feet!
One of my clients sent this video of her horse Cash. Cash is really soaking in all that information! He is ready to be a willing partner! #ApplytheMethed
