Our training schedule is filling up for 2024!

A few frequently asked questions:

-Can my dog go back & forth between home & training?
>Your pup stays with us at our training facility during the duration of their training program.

-Can I visit?
>Yes, you can visit. We offer and encourage monthly visitations.

-Do you have a waiting list?
>Yes

-Do you accept other breeds other than Retrievers?
>No, not at this time. We are strictly a Retriever training company.

-How long will my dog be in training?
>That depends on which program you are interested in. Our obedience program is 3 months with our longest Advanced Retriever program being a 10-12 month course.

-Does your Advanced Retriever program include the Obedience and Simple Retriever program skills?
>Yes! All pups start with our Obedience and work their way through Simple Retriever and into our Advanced Retriever program.

-What if my dog has some other training or skills prior to arriving to Griffith Retrievers for training?
>That's great! They will start with our Obedience program and work forward. However, the time it takes to work through that may be less than another pup that has zero prior training/skills allowing your pup to navigate through the courses at an accelerated speed.

-When do you accept dogs in for training and is there an age limit on dogs that you accept?
>We start accepting dogs at the age of 6 months and we do not accept dogs over 1.5 years of age. Any pups beyond 1 year require an in-person evaluation to see if they are a candidate for our programs.
