Anyone interested in adopting this big ole boy?
Weāve been fostering him for a little while now and itās time he finds his forever home. Someone thatās ready for a high energy dog thatās going to need training. He does well with cats and dogs, but does not do well with any other animals.
Heās around 9-10 months old and we arenāt positive on his breed. He is not neutered but Iād be happy to set the appointment for that to be done and pay for it if needed. I always recommend people wait to neuter their large breed male dogs until 2years of age in order to give them the proper amount of time to fully develop. But some situations call for different measures and I understand that.
Please keep in mind he is VERY high energy and wonāt do well around a dog that is laid back and relaxed. He does well around other high energy dogs, does well with cats but can be pushy with the way he plays. We picked this dude up off of the side of the road on Union, looked for his owners and they never came up. When we picked him up he was with two men that were currently without stable living situations. They wanted $10 for him, we gave them that and left with him.
Chinchillas CAN NOT digest fruit or veggie, just a friendly reminder to everyone. They do best on a diet of mostly hay and high end pellets w/o the additives.

Apologies for the lack of posting, my camera on my phone has been broken and Iām In the works of getting a new one.
Did you guys know that one of the biggest causes of death in male cats is dehydration?
A cats main source of hydration comes from the foods they eat. When feeding dry foods essentially the moisture is sucked from the food all together. Therefore the hydration they need from their food is not present. Proper hydration is very important for them.
No matter what kind of dry food you use, this applies to all of them.
Switching your cat to wet foods is one of the best options you can choose. Stay away from foods that consist of fish. Healthier options would be chicken, beef, and other types of meat.
You can add water to their dry food as well as provide wet food. You can even switch back and forth, dry food with water added, then back to wet food, repeat the process back and forth to keep variety in the diet. Keeping a wide variety of foods available to them at different times is great (keep in mind fish is a no no). Who wants to eat the same thing every day? I wouldnāt lol.
Essentially, you give your cat dry foods as a main source of their diet. Over time this takes a tole on your cats health, your cat is not getting the hydration it needs and crystals will start to form inside of the area their urine is held. Over time these crystals can become completely solid and can not be passed, leading to death in cats.
Overall, we definitely recommend making the switch for you babies. There are lots of affordable options out there too when it comes to wet food. Itās not necessarily more expensive than a dry food diet would be.
Just thought Iād share incase this could help anyone.

Currently looking for fosters for some of the animals we take in, we want to make more room for more intakes without becoming overwhelmed. Fosters will help make this happen.
If youāre interested in becoming a foster for us please send a message and Iāll run through the details with you. Weāll decide whether youāre a fit for the position or not. Please keep in mind youāll be doing this out of the kindness of your heart and will not be getting paid to foster these animals.
We love getting updated photos from adopters! This girl is really out here living the lavish life. Her momma loves her lol stinky buttšā¤ļø
Finally found this girl a forever home! ā¤ļø
Sad to see her go but sheās going to have a great home.
All week Iāve been thinking about this little sweetheart. A baby mouse to be specific.
I took this little one on from someone that had gotten him as a feeder for their reptile. Their reptile didnāt want him so I was asked to take him on. He was in such bad shape and couldnāt move when I first picked him up. I administered fluids, offered some sugar filled food, and kept him warm. He sat in my hand for about 3 hours the night we got him home. He perked up so much from the time we picked him up to the end of that night. I had such high hopes he would make it. I went to the store the next day to get him some extra stuff to make him more comfortable here and when I got to check on him he was no longer with us.
Sometimes it just doesnāt seem fair. Sometimes doing everything in your power just isnāt enough.
Rest In Peace sweetie. ā¤ļø
Our apologies but we will no longer be doing any adoption holds. The amount of people that ghost us after having us hold an adoption for them is crazy. We canāt continue to rescue if we donāt find homes for the healthy animals that are ready to be adopted, we donāt have time to go back and forth with you. If you arenāt sure whether youāre ready to adopt or not, do not message. If youāre 100% sure youāre ready to adopt you can feel free to send us a message ā¤ļøš¦

FAKE SNOW IS POISONOUS TO PETS - please ensure your Christmas decorations are safe for your pets most products with fake snow are poisonous .
Fake snow Chrismas tree can be really dangerous if your pet ingests any.
Although cats climbing trees is one of the most common accidents we see around this time of year, this isnāt the only way trees can do damage! It's not just the fake snow that is dangerous. The oils in fir trees can be mildly toxic, which will cause an upset tummy if swallowed. The needles from tree can get stuck in your pets mouth, throat and paws
To avoid issues hoover or sweep regularly and don't leave your pet alone with the tree.
You can also look out for Nordmann Fir trees which are known as the āno needle dropā trees and are a safer alternative.

Thereās nothing I enjoy more than sitting and cleaning + decorating an enclosure.
Definitely a passion lol
But cleaned and redone enclosure for our pretty girl

Join us in this movement by donating to help some of the peculiar creatures we have in.
By donating youāre helping provide more housing, enrichment, hides, food, medical bills, ect for all of our rescued animals.
We only ever ask for donations when thereās a rescue at hand that the owner insists they need an adoption fee for. Any other expenses come straight from my pocket so really, anything is appreciated. āNot muchā is a lot to us and weāre forever thankful.
We have managed to take in and rehome hundreds on hundreds of animals these past 4 years of rescuing. We couldnāt be any more thankful for everyoneās support and love.
We adore what we do and we wouldnāt want it any other way.
Thank you! š„°š¦š¢

Happy to announce that this beautiful girl ate her first solids on thanksgiving morning. Thereās nothing I could have been more thankful for. This is such a great news, just shows us that sheās got enough fight left in her to do a 360 in health. This is what we want for each and every animal that comes in. Sadly some are too far gone and canāt make it, but weāre still thankful we get to be there for those that need our comfort and loving touch during their last few days, hours, or minutes.
I canāt wait to able to post a side by side of This girl showing how much sheās progressed in health when the time comes.
Itās hard rescuing, itāll always be. but one thing about rescuing is, itās worth it. Every single second has and always will be worth it.

Stop breeding, stop adopting if you arenāt keeping your pet as family in the long run. This is so sad to see

This is the intake from the other day, still shedding all of that old dyed skin. This little one is doing amazing so far. #beardeddragon #beardeddragonsofinstagram #beardeddragons #reptile #animalrescue #reptilerescue #fyp #foryoupage
Obsessing over some watermelon, first time getting some as a treat in our care. Fruits should only be given occasionally as treats and theyāre so high in sugars, fruits are a tortoises candy. š¤£
Natural sunlight & yummy grass for my lil guys ā¤ļøš¢ I adore these two more than words can explain
Ralph got some yummy fresh veggies today, heās officially off of quarantine and moved into his enclosure. Enclosure is not fully set up yet but itās in use as you can see lol. This dude came in as a found tortoise, his owners have not come forward yet so he will be staying with us for a month or two longer to give them a lengthy amount of time. If they do come forward, as mentioned before, we will be educating them on his species and making sure they care for him properly before releasing him back into their care. For now heās on his way to 100% health, heās happy, and heās loved. Heās got such a big personality too, itās crazy! ā¤ļøš¢ #tortoise #tortoisesofinstagram #reptile #reptiles #reptilesofinstagram #reptilerescue #foundtortoise #petrescue #animalrescue
One of our newest intakes getting settled into her new enclosure. Naturalistic to make her feel at home. I will post photos of her enclosure with her previous owners vs this enclosure. Sheās a happy girl!

Gerald tearing a strawberry upš¤£ Fruits should only be given to reptiles as treats. Fruits are their candy, high in sugar. Too much is not good for them. Gerald definitely enjoys his occasional strawberry or banana though. āŗļø
The turtles are enjoying their new enclosure, I still have so much to add to make it more pleasing to the eye but for now theyāre happy and so am I. If anyone is interested in donating a filter/pump for these guys weād really appreciate it! Weāve found some affordable ones on Amazon. Weāll be purchasing it next payday, but if someone would like to donate one before then that would be amazing! Just to help keep the water clear and flowing for them. ā¤ļø
Someone got to enjoy the turtles new pool today with mom, once he was out he definitely wanted back in.
