FriendsI beg that if your pet is missing do search for them in our shelters daily! This should be the first place you go to when your pets go missing!
If you’re looking to expand your family I also beg you to visit our shelters as they’re extremely full of stray animals! perfectly young and healthy animals are being put down daily due to lack of space and resources! These poor babies die all alone never knowing the LOVE of a family! 💔🙏🏽😭

I apologize if this hurts you, it hurt me too, but it is important to bring awareness!
aggressive dogs are not born aggressive, they are made aggressive! You may not have done that intentionally but sometimes we don’t realize what we do, we may have the best intentions but that’s why it is crucial that we raise awareness on this matter and how to help your dog the best you can!

1) Socialize your dog as young and as often as you possible after they’ve been fully vaccinated! Take them to dog parks or doggy day cares. (Happy dog, happy life for the rest of the family)
2) Walk your dog as often as possible at least once a day every day as it strengthens the dog/human bond and builds respect!
3) Positive reinforcement goes a LONG WAY! Praise your dog BIG time when they do positive things.
4) Use only short, stern vocal sounds (just don’t use the actual word “NO”) to let them know when you’re not ok with whatever they’re doing (negative behaviors) don’t engage in a full conversation with your dog when you want to express your frustration, keep it very short, make your point and move on. It’s ok to use 5 to 10 minute time outs.
5) Get your male dog neutered please! Their hormones levels spike up when they’re in the presence of anything that they may consider to be a threat to them, their parents, their foods and/or toys.
When they’re neutered you will lower their chances of engaging in aggressive behaviors.
6) Get them used to being ok with anyone touching or approaching their food, toys and anything they may be protective of, start doing that as soon as possible (the younger they start this process the better)
7) Always take with you and your dog an AIR HORN and if you can also citronella spray in case of an emergency like the one on this video! The air horn is extremely loud and always startles the dog and almost paralyzes them due to the high sensitivity to sound, the citronella spray is a tool that almost every pet hotel keep in their play area to break up dog fights.

"When we adopted our child we met with the other family, who had his brother, once a month. We saw how inseparable they were, how happy and how sad they were for days after we separated them. Bakersfield dog lovers please stop walking your dogs during high temperatures… I keep seeing this happening a lot! Dogs don’t wear shoes like you and their bare paws will burn and will definitely hurt! Please walk your beloved dog only before 8am and no earlier than 8pm as that’s when the asphalt isn’t going to harm your fur babies!
